What time did your kids get up this a/m?

Villa Rica, GA(Zone 7a)

My kids were up at 2:30 this a/m!! I got up and told them to go back to bed. They had pretty much already seen what they had gotton from Santa but I told them to go lay back down for a while. I went on back to bed and must have went out like a light because I don't remember hearing anything.
Then around 4:30 I heard them up again, so me and dh went ahead and got up.
So needless to say my kids were ready to pass out by 1:00 this afternoon.
They pretty much got all they really wanted this year and boy does that make me happy too!

What time did your day start??

My day started about 7:30, now that dosnt mean thats what time the kiddies got up. We let them rip thru their stockings weather we are up or not but the other gifts have to wait for us. Ive tried to make it a rule that we are not to be woken up before 6 am and so far they cant wake up before that anyway. I wanted to get so much more for them this year but didnt have any money till this past weekend. We got them each a couple of big items plus all the stocking stuffers and DH wrote the two olders ones each a check for $200. OMG you should have seen their faces when they saw those checks and then you should have seen all the smoke coming out of their ears from all the hard thinking they were doing. LOL Needless to say they all seemed to be very happy with what "Santa" brought them this year.

I was so surprised that my 3 boys had stayed up for as long as they did. I mean granted they went to bed at 9:00 but then they got back up at 2:30! They stayed up all day that day too, never once went back to bed or even wanted a nap. Now me on the other hand was ready for a nap soon as we got back home that day!

5:15 here but that is not so bad as I usually get up at 5:30. I am usually alone for an hour or so though LOL. Amazingly enough, the teenager was the first one up. It usually takes a crane to get him out of bed!

Why do your kids get up so early? 2:30, 5.15 & 7.30.
I usually wake up 10am...

Villa Rica, GA(Zone 7a)

They woke up that early because they wanted to see what Santa had left for them. I tried getting them to go back to bed, and they pretended to do so. I went back to bed and I was asleep as soon as my head hit the pillow. They gave me time enough to go back to sleep and they jumped up again! Then around 5 something is when I heard them in the living room again so me and dh went ahead and got on up.

But now on a regular day my 2 oldest 14 and 12 they both get up early. Most of the time my 12 year old wakes us up around 5:00a/m telling us its time to get up. He has always been a early riser too. Plus it don't matter what time I put them to bed, he is still up by 5:00a/m the next day. I've even tried putting them to bed around 11:00p/m just to see if that would make him sleep later(summer time when there was no school the next day) but he would jump up at 5:30-5:45a/m!
Guess he is always going to be this way.

MollyBee I think your boys are destined to be dairy farmers. Anybody who consistently gets up at that time of the morning has to be! I know, I grew up in the dairy capital of Canada and STILL after all these years get up by 5:00 a.m. D

We open the present in the Christmas ever here.. not in the morning of the Christmas day. Here the Christmas day is mostly just pretty boring :}

Now during the Christmas vacation I have woken up somewhere around 12 pm and 2 pm..

L.A. (Canoga Park), CA(Zone 10a)

When I was a kid, I stayed in bed until some civilized hour like 8:00. I didn't see the need to get up all that early. The presents weren't going anywhere. I don't recall that my brother and sister got up extra early, either. Besides, no one could go downstairs until my dad had the movie camera set up. (Uggh!)
