I'll start. My in-laws (Lotus Blossom and Bob)gave us a Bunn coffee maker. It makes the best cup of coffee you could ever ask for. It must be the way it keeps the water so hot. We had one years ago and I've been drooling over them in the stores every time I pass them. It's just one of those items that I could not justify for myself. Boy am I happy.
What was your favorite Christmas gift this year.
It's nice to have in-laws and out-laws lol.
Mine was $150.00 from the OB which will will go into the computer fund.
Mine was the gift certificate to use in the garden shop come spring! (From my dear husband.)
Yay for the computer fund, Kit! And a gardening gift certificate is always cool, especially when spring fever gets to be too much and you just have to get out and buy some plants!
Whoops - we didn't realize mark had already started such a thread. Head on over there! :) http://davesgarden.com/t/412199/
This was the year for pictures. I usually know all that is going on, but my adult children went and had their pictures done together and then again with the grandchildren. I had no idea! I have beautifully framed pictures of all.
And my DH gave me a GC to a scrapbooking store we have in our area. I will have fun scrapbooking all my photos one of these days.
I also got the movie SeaBiscuit from my DD. I missed it when it was at the theater (during growing season) and really wanted to see it. The book came with it.
I had a wonderful Christmas.
Kathy
Happy Holidays to all my friends. I couldn't help but post.
I look forward to seeing all the bulbs the generous members at DG traded to me (or gave). But this Spring/Summer will be especially exciting. Dear Hubby asked me to marry him all over again (renew our vows). He suprised me with a beautiful "engagement ring" for Christmas and a request that we be married in our garden this June 1st (his birthday) I am on cloud nine. After 17 years we are still going strong. I will be thinking of all you, like I always do when I walk through the gardens.
Blessings,
Davena

Wow, Davena, that is excellent! How cool is that? :D
Oh, how wonderful for you! Sure hope you'll share some wedding pics with us.
Davena, what a beautiful love-story! Thanks for sharing with us.
Awww, how sweet! That guy of yours is a keeper.
Well, I received a number of things; including a new, after Christmas coffee pot, and a new kitchen faucet, but I think the greatest gift was a 10inch Rigid table saw.
Hubby thinks he got it for himself, but he just doesn't know it yet that I will also be using it, probably more than he, so yes, I would have to say the table saw. I would have to use it tho when he's at work, so don't anyone say a word to him about it.
Now, what I received just for me was a couple of angel music boxes and a couple of just angel sitties, along with a gift certificate to the local craft store.
Cool curio, Frank!!
Davena, what a romantic guy you have!! My Mr. Romance got me some 'hunting equipment' one year, so I got him a cook book!! LOL
The best gift I got was the news that youngest son is moving back to the area. We are all so excited!! He's looking at houses, so this means it he intends to stay for a while.
You built all of those models? Neat! What's in that hardshell case there on the left? I'm nosy. ;)
I like to hear bagpipes (ones played well, anyway). See, it does tie into Christmas gifts after all...
Love that Ibanez...reminds me of a Strat without "enuff" pickups. Bet it's a beauty to play, eh?
Believe it or not--a new portable carpet cleaner for stairs & furniture and a foot massager. Practical, aren't I?
Shoe, I don't play it much as my fingers seem too fat. My old Epiphone bass gets much more use. I think my members photo shows a red Alverez. My favorite 6 string. The fret board is wide and it really rings. Frank
Looks like, with all those guitars, we better get you to a DG Roundup! (Nice looking Alverez.)
Howie...sorry, I just haven't taken a pic of my favorite gift yet. Will post it tomorrow (I hope)!
Oh my goodness! If that is your husband I will definitely behave myself should I ever come to visit!
I love it and can't wait to see the new Lord Of The Rings.
I think the plastic Gollum is even creepier than the "real" one -- didn't think that was possible!
Oh my goodness notmartha, that is a pretty good likeness of him. But do you have the Precious? :)LOL
I think the Precious is pretty neat; that I wouldn't mind getting. Also, the necklaces are so pretty!
Hubby got me a remote monitor for my new greenhouse! I can watch the temperature and humidity without leaving the house, opening the door and letting in cold air just to check the temp (great in our snowy, stormy winter).
Guitars! Fun! (That guitar is as tall as one of the youngin's!) Hope you got them amplifiers too! And a John Mellencamp songbook or CD? :>)
Mary, bet that is a nice treat for you...means you don't have to trudge thru the snow to check your ghouse.
Geeee-tars! I remember how excited I was to get my 12-string for HS graduation and my keyboard for Christmas another year.
Oooh, a remote monitor, Mary? That's a blessing where you live!
My Grandaughters and DS and DDI here for several hours. My 3 year old grandaughter loves to see her Nonnie. DS said she asks for me everyday. She will give me a kiss and then say this is True Wuv. She is my best friend and tells me I am hers. I love dessie too. It is just I raised Gwyneth for her first two years as 3 months after she was born DDI and Gwyneth lived here while DS was locked up for 7 months. Then when he got out I watched her until Dessie came but I need back surgery and can not watch 2 by my self now. Dessie is very petite she is 15 months old and at thanksgiving she weighed 18 1/2 lbs and our turkey was 19 lbs. I love my Girls. We could only have one child our DS and I love him and DDI very much.
Sorry I went on and on....Being disabled those girls are a true gift from God!
Thanks for listening,
Sandy
