Me...A Granpa??!!

I only wish we lived closer :~(

But, we're headin down for a visit on the 8th of next month. And by then the "ugly newborn syndrome" will have disappeared! I even thought all of my own young-uns were ugly as soon as they came out. I don't mean this in a bad way, all newborn babies are God's gift to us and a great miracle, it's just that they still need to "cook" a little more once they arrive. Kinda like when you cook sumpin in a microwave and the directions say to "let stand for several minutes after cooking."

Today is would be a GREAT day for a new baby. Our "baby" is celebrating her 26th birthday today! Let us know when he/she arrives!

My last one was born on my birthday. The other five was born on their birthday. I love all six of them. Congratulations.

Thank y'all so much! I'm now thrilled to announce...she had twins!! NOT!!! Hee Hee!!

The baby girl weighed in at 7 pounds one and a half ounces, at a length of 19 inches. I spoke with the new pop and mom about a half hour ago and everyone is doin fine! They say the baby does indeed have a full head of red hair!

I'll try and have a photo or two posted soon!

Well since you look like a gray haired grandpa, you can start acting like one now. tc, it is a whole different feeling with a grandchild. Jerry is so obsessed with our grandson and I never thought he would be that way.

Donna, Jerry was tellin all of us while we were golfin how crazy he was about his grandson. I reckon I'll be like that too! ('Cept I'm thinkin 'bout gettin me some Grecian Formula for Men so I won't scare Carson when she first sees me!) Happy Birthday to your nephew!

Kathy, Carson was born in TJ Sampson Community Hospital in Glasgow, KY. My DS told me that they have a website but I havn't checked on it yet. He said they put up pictures of newborns there too. I'll post the link here when I check to make sure the site is there.

Hey TC, welcome to the club! I have a granddaughter and a grandson - 6 and 9 respectively - and Melissa, that sweet girl, is going to add to the total next summer. (not to steal any thunder here, but it seemed like a good time to make the announcement!).

Whhoooo Hooo how wonderful to have a grandbaby to love. That has to be one of the best things in life. Other than gardening of course.

I keep telling our son to get busy and give me a baby to play with but he hasn't even found "that special girl yet". Anybody out there have a young lady who needs a good TALL man? lol

Oh, how sweet she looks. You will have to move closer to her. Grand children are a joy. We have seven GC and three Great grand children.
