At Day's End

St. Louis, MO(Zone 6b)

I came across this poem while going through my notes and want to share it with you.

At Day’s End

Is anybody happier because you passed his way?

Does anybody remember that you spoke to him today?

The day is almost over, and its toiling time is through;

is there anyone now to utter a kindly word of you?

Can you say tonight, in parting with the day that’s slipping fast,

That you helped a single brother of the many that you passed?

Is a single heart rejoicing at you did or said;

Does the man whose hopes were fading, now with courage look ahead?

Did you waste the day, or lose it? Was it well or sorely spent?

Did you leave a trail of kindness, or a scar of discontent?

As you close your eyes in slumber, do you think God will say,

“You have earned one more tomorrow by the way you lived today”

Beautiful, Padre. Thanks....and a Merry Christmas to you and ALL. Jo

Great poem, Padre! It really sums up what I feel about a successful day. I always sleep better when I believe I have made some sort of positive difference in the day for others. Speaking of doing for others, don't hesitate to ask for seeds. I've updated my trade list: http://davesgarden.com/tl/Weezingreens/index.html

Thanks that is a great poem. It is what our pastor just talked about. Sharing a compliment or just a smile and a hug really warms another persons soul.
I am leaving each one of you a :) and a hug.
Have a Merry Christ filled christmas.

Love to all,
Sandy
