What a scare!!

Woke up this morning, my computer weatherbug says it's 28 degrees. Was only predicted at 40. Ran out & brought in 1 orchid, my hoyas and christmas cactus. Then I checked my own thermometer outside. It's only 40. Slap Slap slap that channel 6 weatherbug!!!!!!

Another early morning jogger - how healthy :-) I'm glad it was not really freezing.

Bet that really got your adrenaline flowing, LOL. Glad it wasn't really freezing! I've seen frost in Miami many moons ago when I lived there.

Bay City, MI(Zone 6a)

it was 18 here this am! you lucky gal! ;)

We are having a heat wave, may get to 35º today, of course the wind is blowing at about 25 MPH from the south!
Only time I saw a weatherman be right was after something took place.

Molly,How did the baby Hostas do? The only thing I brought in was my Spanish Shawl and Queen's wreath. It got down to 37 here, but so far everything looks O.K.

Everything was fine, because in actuality, it was only 40. Hostas are doing good, I think they like this weather. Now this morning the Channel Six Weatherbug says 34 degrees. I can't tell yet what it really is cause my DH took the thermometer into the garage.

Patricia, so good to hear from you. I thought about you yesterday. We went to Ft Pierce to move a boat to the boatyard for repairs. I was the land runner, so I went to a yard sale and picked up a whole box of plants, then I went to the farmers market at the marina and got fresh veggies and a sinful amount of orchids and plants. Wish we had had a better plan, we could have connected up there in your neck of the woods. Can you take a picture of your queens wreath? I bought 2 from Almost Eden last month. They are still in pots, and they are doing fine, but are still small.

Well it looks like 40 outside. Yall up north can make fun of me all you want about the cold, but we had new central air installed last summer....with heat, the a/c worked great, and now we find out they forgot to hook up the heat. When the temp drops and you have no heat even 40 degrees is too cold. I have the oven going now to take the chill off. And my poor old dog (Baby) arthritis is really bad and giving her pain. Waiting for the sun to come up and warm things a bit now.

Jogger? at 5:00am, the only jogging I do is to the kitchen for my coffee. LOL

I think my weatherbug location on the New River, must be in the beer cooler at the Downtowner Saloon. Temperature showing there is about 10-15 degrees cooler than reality. That's only 2 miles from my house so can't be real.

LOL Molly, we are about 40 right now too and yes, it is freezing to me..

Crossville, TN

It was about 50 when I got up this morning...so it should get up to 75 at least. YIPEE. Jo

Listen, I can tell you for a fact that elephant ear's can take a frost and some snow - hehe - and now it's busy taking over the back plant room!

It was up around 30 here, but the windchill kept it feeling like 20. Warmer weather for a few days and then snow again for Christmas.

Hi Molly, I'm surprised I didn't run into you at a yard sale. Sure wish I had. I don't know what you look like, but I probably would have known by all the plants that you were a member of DG! *G* My Queens Wreath has just now started to grow new shoots, but the Spanish Shawl is growing by leaps and bounds. As soon as her majesty moves back outside out of my shower stall, I'll send you a picture.
