Anna and Zoe in Sarlat

Castelnau RB Pyrenée, France(Zone 8a)

Sarlat is in Perigord, the land of the goose and pate de foie gras. My daughter's two fell in love with this sculpture

Philomel, your daughters are just precious. What a wonderful opportunity to travel in France and other European countries.

By the way your choice of names, Anna and Zoe are super too. I always wanted an Anna but due to other circumstances I ended up with a Theresa and a Catherine. We nicknamed Catherine, Katy. I read the story of Catherine Laboure when Katy was bit older and her nickname had already stuck pretty good, but Catherine Laboure's nickname was Zoe and I had wished I had known sooner as Katy is so common now.

I worded that a bit strangely Lenjo, these are my granddaughters, so I'm not responsible for their names - but I do like them very much (and the people they belong to LOL)
We were on a trip to decide whereabouts to settle in France, as that's the next adventure in our lives. http://davesgarden.com/t/409567/

...and thankyou both for the kind words - I'm biased of course, but they are lovely children.

Beautiful Grandchildren.

Philomel, as I reread your initial post, you make perfect sense, only some of us get a little crosseyed. LOL Why would you ever want to leave England? What draws you to France? The Willamette Valley in Oregon is pretty awesome too. You wouldn't have to learn a new language then either. Just a thought??? from someone is a bit myopic. LOL

Hilary, your granddaughters are absolutely gorgeous! (But of course you already knew that.) As a fellow animal lover I can see why they loved this statue too. It's a beauty.
