Western, PA(Zone 6a)

Hi REDROSE, this is hard to add up. I once lived in the hills above Santa Cruz where people would drop off cats and dogs. The animals would all come to my house (it seemed like) for help. I can't tell you how many were adopted out to friends, and their friends in San Jose.

We always had at least 4 cats at one time. Unfortunately some got hit by cars, and some were really sick.

I've had maybe 20 permanent dogs and cats so far.

PS The drop-offs were mostly pups and kittens needing attention. Or at least they needed attention because they were neglected and ignored.

Washington, PA(Zone 6b)

One cat...we had two for about 2 weeks but had to get rid of the little one due to DH's allergies =(

Spring Hill, FL(Zone 9a)

Since we were married (45 years in January). The dogs: Flash,Rebel,Honey and Samantha. The cats: Woody,Tinkerbell and the beloved Kiki. All deceased.
Over the years there have been 2 skunks, an opossum, a pair of squirrels and innumerable tropical fish.
Currently the boy cats Bob and Baxter and the girls Patches and Shadow share our lives.

Mableton, GA(Zone 7b)

Do I even ask why or how on the skunks???

Cedar Key, FL(Zone 9a)

I love Skunks...just not near my barns...
I hear they are great pets!

It would take forever for me to list all my past pets, like some people here ,I too am an animal junkie(and plant addict)

Once I started to work full time I cut the numbers down....

In the house at this time I have 2 dogs(Great Dane,Great Pyrenees),2 cats ,2 cockatoo's,1 macaw,and 12 cockatiels,plus a 55 gallon tank full of fish......

You don't even wanna hear whats OUTSIDE!

Lincoln City, OR(Zone 9a)

LOL CC. I didn't list many of my pets either for fear of having to explain myself. BWhahaha

Spring Hill, FL(Zone 9a)

The first skunk was brought home by my oldest daughter, orphaned when her mother was killed by a car (the skunk not my daughter). We had her de-scented and she became a really great pet for 6 years before dying unexpectedly. the other was given to DW by a member of her bowling league who couldn't keep him when he moved. He was a fun critter but he left home to start his own family after a year or so.

BTW ecobioangie Its good to see you have re-materialized after having dissipated into an ethereal state lol

Lakeview, MI(Zone 5a)

speaking of skunks,we have a family of them in our barn here on the farm. we also have about fifteen barn cats. we feed them cat food with warm milk after each milking, at least we did, we've just recently sold our dairy herd so now it's just dry cat food and I hope mice! The skunks would come out from under the barn and eat with the cats! Mostly it was just the baby skunks, the parent skunks held back until all were finished, happy day everyone.

I can't remember how many cats, dogs and others we had when the kids were young. Now I'm by myself, well before I was widowed, I had a small mix dog for 13 years, then a silkie terrier for 13 years, now I have Bluebird, my Llhaso Apso, she is four. Also 4 banty chickens, one hen lays and keeps me supplied with good eggs. Lots of gold fish out in the pond, hundreds of Calif. Quail, at least 11 Ringneck Pheasants, hundreds of other birds that i feed year around. Donna

Honor, MI(Zone 5b)

Wow....it would be easier to tell you who we have at the moment:
Two dogs, Jenna and Sam
6 cats, including our son's cat, Leon, while he is at college (or son, not Leon) also: Jazz, Patches, Sly-- Paul and Ringo (John and George went to family, the fab four were abandoned)
Other dogs that we have loved and lost since we were married 24 years ago included Crusier, Shawna, Maggie and Wolly. Cats: way too many to list, since this is a popular place for strays and drop-offs and I can't turn away a stray.....I love my animals!!!

They are both shelter dogs. Sam is 8--he's St.Bernard/Chow/Collie. He's the best dog I've ever had... Jenna is 1--she's Malamute/Lab/a little Wolf/a little Rott. She is my baby. They are both very sweet dogs. Smart, loyal and very patient and spoiled!! I love my dogs!
That's Myah who is 3 and she comes to me for day care. Here she is with Annie, who is 2 1/2 and comes for day care, too. Aren't they just too cute!?? They are two of "my" five. My husband and I have all boys--Gabe, 22, Luke, 18 and Christopher is 14. I have to get my "girl fix" from my day care kids!!
