I personally am greatfull for alot of things. Such as...

My Husband (who has changed soo much this year for the GOOD)

My Wonderful 3 boys(who have grown by leaps and bounds this year all healthy!)

The Lord(which has kept me going in the right direction and has allowed me to be with my loved ones for another year)

My health(I've even lost 25lbs this year!)

My Dear friends here at DG

My Best friend Alli, which has been soooo good to me this year! Wouldn't trade her for anything!

I'm sure my list will get longer as the days wear on....

The thing I am most thankful for is that all my children are in good health.

My family, friends, a roof over my head, clothes for my back and food to sustain us. These are the true blessings in my life. All else is just icing on an already wonderful cake.

I am most thankful for my family and friends, also for our good health. I am also thankful that my children have good jobs and homes.

I thank God for every day that I wake up and get to live another day and then I pray for wisdom for whatever comes my way.

Well, for something a little different... I am thankful that Butt Boy moved away. He is the neighbor from h--- who used to live behind us. He's been gone for almost a year and I am still thankful.

I am thankful and grateful for EVERYTHING. Coming from a broken home (and we were poor as dirt to boot), I never dreamed I'd have such a great marriage and just an overall great life.

Fort Pierce, FL(Zone 10a)

I'm thankful that I have lived 73 years and now have the time and wisdom to savor all the many blessing of my life. My father started each day with this verse, now I do also.

"This is the day that the Lord has made. Let us rejoice and be glad in it".

People who love gardens have a special reason to rejoice. After all, He did make the first garden!

I'm so thankful for my personal relationship with JESUS. To think that the one and only very son of the Almighty GOD who created the heavens, earth, and all that is in it is so awesome. I too start the day with the verse : This is the day the LORD has made. I will rejoice and be glad in it. Then I begin to sing praise and worship choruses and song at least in my mind. Makes the whole day go better.

Then I am thankful for my family and friends. And for Dave's Garden. For life itself, for whatever blessings and trials GOD allows me to have or bear. The trials will make a stronger Christian and person of me. It is important to trust JESUS and go thru trials instead of trying to go over, under, or around them or just deny they exist. The blessings help me realize how much I am loved by my heavenly FATHER.

I have so much to be thankful for but most of all I'm thankful to God for sparing my live and for my DH and children.

San Antonio, TX(Zone 8b)

Where would I start? I'm thankful to God for sending me my husband. He knew I needed him. My first husband passed away when I was 35 and left me with 4 little boys ages 6, 8, 10, and 12. I felt like caving in but I had to put on a good face for my kids. It was hard to do but it paid off. They are real close to me now. This was before food stamps or aid of any kind. My job didn't pay that well but my kids bussed tables, washed dishes, moved irrigation pipe, worked for the milkman, etc. Yes, even the 6 yr.old. He would pick up trash for people. Course people knew what I was up against and that was their way of helping. And it paid off with children that know they have to pay their own way. They're all hard working and I'm so proud of them. And when the weather is cold and I have to go outside I'm so thankful that I have a warm home. I'm thankful I have a nice car. I'm thankful for everything I have. Isn't it pretty watching the sun come up and then to watch it set? Yes, I'm thankful for every thing I have.

That I am still able to hold my tongue with my MIL to keep the peace as best as possible in the family and not think about it for any longer than I am in her presence.

For my DH who understands and dosnt visit with her long when I am with him.

For my 3 happy healthy kids and DH being with me and loving me back.

For our home.

For knowing that this is not the order of things for wich I am grateful.

For Finding DG and all the wonderful new friends I have made and the new friends yet to come.

For having a list longer than I can reasonably post.

Lincoln City, OR(Zone 9a)

I'm thankful that I live in an era that new knees can be given to a person and in return they get to garden once again.

I'm thankful for my hubby that has stuck by my side through many times of adversity for 29 years.

I'm thankful for the friends I have met here at DG as they make my day and night more tolerable when I am lonely here on the farm.

I'm thankful for my dear son who makes my heart sing with pride in his accomplishments. ( Almost lost him in a serious car accident in 96)

I'm thankful for the memories of friends and family who are now in heaven.

I am thankful for my faith in a great creator of the world as we know it.

I'm thankful for the opportunity to live in the United States where we can chat about whatever we want to chat about.

I'm thankful for happiness however it may come.

Merry Christmas everyone. Thanks for being a great sounding board for me in the past and in the future.

Lani
