Question about providing info on DG from a mag

I posted in Gen'l Disc the websites for invasive plants by region from 'fine Gardening' mag. They also list within the article alternative plants from the invasive ones. The list is excellent and useful. I cannot link the site because it is subscription only for articles. Is it 'not proper' to retype the info and provide it here - in other words, "stealing" ?

Good question - it shows your good character that you'd even consider the ethics of this before posting away.

I think it would be a copyright violation and, thus, stealing, unless they have specifically said that you could reprint the article for others.

Many companies get really uptight about reproducing their articles. The best thing to do would be to email Fine Gardening and ask if it is OK to reproduce the article as long as you give them credit for it.

That should keep everyone happy and out of trouble :)
