Month by month gardening book wanted

Waco, TX(Zone 8a)

I work at a school garden. Trying to help reluctant teachers get involved in the garden, I want to give them suggestions on a regular basis of things they may do in their plots with their students thru the year. I have seen a month-by-month gardening book somewhere but don't know the title. I am in Central Texas. Can anyone recommend a book or source I can use to find suggestions for the teachers?

Mr. John,
I have Month By Month Gardening In The South by Don and Chris Hastings. You might want to check that one out.

Hempstead, TX(Zone 8b)

the ag extension also has a month by month 2 page sheet for your area. that way you can get a copy for everyone and it's free.

Mr John

I write the zone 6 garden calendar for the Organic Gardening .com website.
Go to www.organicgardening.com site and sign up for the almanac and whatever zone or zones your interested in.
The first of each month you'll recieve the almanac via email which inculdes the garden calendar.

Lots of good info and its FREE.

Crocket's Victory Garden and Crocket's Flower Garden are written up in a month by month format too.

Thanks everyone! I've found Month-by-Month Gardening in Texas by Dale Groom and Dan Gill. It has sections on annuals, bulbs, houseplants, perennials, etc. I'll try some of your suggestions too.

BTW - the boys were "digging holes"! They had moved some dirt to beds and just wanted to keep digging!
