Great Mitjo! Can you make it so an image can be uploaded from a desktop?

Lappeenranta, Finland(Zone 3a)

Thanks Darius:)
Well, that is a problem. Because this is a free forum, it is not possible to upload pictures from desktop.

But I have thought something for that too. Not sure what yet:D

Mitjo, I just wanted to ID a cactus I have. Tried it here and got no answer.

I have no idea what that is:)
I would like to see a picture of the whole plant. It would make it much easyer.

So.App.Mtns., United States(Zone 5b)

Here's the plant. Actually, it's several of them in one pot. I'm sure it needs to be repotted, but that's how it was when I got it several years ago, rescued it from the trash. This is the first year it has bloomed, so now I want to know what it is, and to take better care of it.

Hmm, funny looking thing.
It is somekind of Epiphyllum.
But I dont know which one.

Epiphyllum 'South o' Border'? http://www.succseed.com/images/gallery/epiphsouthofborder_1.jpg

So.App.Mtns., United States(Zone 5b)

Mitjo, it could be "South o' Border". I only have one photo of a previous bloom fully opened, and it's not a good photo.

Good Job, Mitjo! That looks like it might be the one! I'll keep close watch on the one starting to bloom now and take better photos of the bloom.

Thanks. : )

darius, try here on their backorder page almost half way down. You have an orchid cactus, but it is not related to orchids....scheesch!

Now just gotta find out more about the night blooming cereus...aka: Queen Of The Night . Supposedly it is NOT a cereus but an Epi, but is it related to the orchid ?
I have mine planted in epi medium and it is thriving.
.....FYI 'Queenie" has FLAT leaves not succulent dimensional stems like the orchid cactus, each bloom lasts only for one night and 1 flower will perfume the whole house....That's how I saw my first bloom, the fragrance woke me up in the middle of the night =)

I am not particularly a cactus fan though I like the Epiphyllums and I have a huge rats tail cactus, but I wish you every success with your new forum Mitjo :))

Jerome, MI(Zone 5b)

Oh Mitjo, I hope you found some pictures for there...there are sure some nice ones..smiles..
