Andrew Ryan was born today and weighed in at 7 lbs 3 oz., 19 inches long. His Mommy is resting peacefully and both are healthy and strong. Grandma (thats ME) is feeling relieved that everything went well and will post a picture as soon as she can!

Thankyou all for sharing in our joy. Andrew is grandbaby number 8 and is probably the last. But if that old TV show title is right..."Eight is enough"!
Congratulations Zany. They might be trying for enough for a baseball team, or football?
What wonderful news!
Congratulations Zany. I know you are proud.
Whewww!....'bout merry ol' time! Just found this thread, and so glad!
I wasn't worried about the mama and baby, but sure didn't like to see Zany getting upset, worried and uh, uh, zany!
Bigtime congrats! I know ya'll are happy! (Especially you! Ain't they far enuff away that you won't be changing diapers anytime soon?)

Andrew arrived as the most precious of gifts
Just seeing him healthy causes spirits to lift.
Congratulations on your new grandson!

Congratulations and glad both baby and Mom are fine.
GL! Ya used my own poem and it definately fits :) And here I was thinking that I needed to do his babybook poem since all the others have them .
Shoe, I did get a mite antzy with this one since my DD has been having a rough time lately. But they are both fine and I managd to set the ants back into the ant farm.
Jim you are an Uncle again ;~)
They may be trying for a balltam but I keep tellin them that the world is populated and they can take a rest now!

Congrats Zany! God Bless little Andrew Ryan and his family :)
Congrats Zany!!! Now ..... wheres that pic.
Zanymuse, the best I can wish for the little guy is good health, lots of love, and may he be blessed with a sense of humor like his Grandmother!! Congratulations! Jo
What a cute boy! My DGS Andrew is almost 9 years old now. Jo
Oh !!!
I love his hair.
And it looks like he's smiling!!!
What a doll-baby!
He must take after his granny!
He is a little doll, but then I may be a bit predjudiced. But thn I never saw a baby I didn't love :~) I talked to my daughter again today and she is doing fine. I can't believe they only keep mothers in the hospital one day and night! She is home and settling in to adjust to the new baby. Justin who is 3 now had to tell me all about his new brother. He told me "Andrew is cute and needs to go back to the hospital so his mommy can play"
Guess he figures the baby is there for a visit and needs to go home now! But when the baby needed a diaper change he thought it was funny because "big boys like me" don't have to wear diapers.
Where are his haaaaands?? Couldn't resist. He's darling, Brenda. :)
Kim...they put little mittens on the new borns so they don't scratch up their face. Jo
They do? So THAT'S why my momma had me wear gloves for so many years. (You ARE s'posed to keep them on that long, right?) ;>0
Yep Shoe, you just leave them on like a good boy now! But please remember to take them off when climbing Butter bean ladders. The butter that drips out of the beans can make the ladder slippery and with the mittens on your hands will stay clean but you might kind of loose yer grip and feel like your gonna fall. Just remember to put your mittens back on when you get done and make your momma proud!
LOL, I knew that, Jo. ;)
When I was a baby my mom used to stand me in the far corner of the kitchen and feed me from across the room, with a sling-shot. I always thought that's why I had the mittens on.
Mercy, ya learn sumpin' new everyday, eh? Thanks for the good words of wisdom and advice, Zany. I'll be careful!
Yeah, and ya wished she'd debone that chicken before she'd shot it -- sheesh!
HAH!!! ;>)
Many many congrats to ya Zany!! He is a beautiful baby. Two of my five had hair like that. :) Any chance you will get to see him soon? I sure hope so! Congrats to you and your family!!
