I don't see this company listed when I did a search. Has anyone delt with this place, and what do you think?

Panama, NY(Zone 5a)

We bought the curtains for the new addition (9 years ago) to the barn. They are real people - a couple of guys who couldn't find what they needed and started a business to help other people find what they needed. We have recommended them to friends and I've actually talked to one of the owners a couple of times. I wouldn't be afraid to order from them. They are quite efficient and pleasant.

Efland, NC(Zone 7a)

I remember ordering something from them before, just can't remember what it was. I get their catalog in the mail also.
If I had gotten bad service from them, or a bad product, I bet I'd remember THAT part about them tho! I'll check my receipts...if I find something (I often make notes on them) then I'll add them to the Watchdog.

Payneville, KY(Zone 7a)

Impiefish, you can find them at www.farmtek.com Yes, we have dealt with them. Have bought from them a few times, most recently our greenhouse. We did not have a good experience. I had to make several disturbing phone calls to them to get satisfaction.

The biggest problem is that they did not send us appropriate directions for putting up our greenhouse and most of it was done by guess! I won't say that the quality of the materials was bad. When we tried to get some answers from the company, oh boy....well, I could write a book on that. They ended up sending us a "small gift certificate" and a few pairs of gloves! And it took forever to get the greenhouse, it was quite a mess.

Believe it or not though, all in all, I still think we would buy from them.

We also bought our equipment for our chickens from them as they were really the only ones that sold what we were looking for.

I hope this answers your question.

Just bought GH Bubble Wrap last month
from them. Good service, but the
freight was a killer.

I have been quite pleased with them. I ordered a quantity of poultry flooring and we're using that everywhere - as shelves in the greenhouse, and places that could be muddy. (We have no chickens). As you say, the freight was a killer, so when they were offering free shipment for purchases of a certain amount, we jumped at it.

We bought a tent garage last winter, and Bob and a friend have put it up in 2.5 Saturdays. They finished just this last Saturday. It had been taking up a lot of room on the basement floor for a long time.

Hmmm..a "tent garage"? That sounds like something I could use.

Do you have a pic, esther?

Everson, WA(Zone 8a)

Horseshoe I'M betting its like a hoop house lots of them around here people store boats under.

Tractor store near by has one huge one must be 35 feet high. They hold auctions under it and store equipmwnt out of the rain the rest of the time.

Sweet Bannana wax peppers, red green and orange bells, walla walla sweets, white mushrooms, sliced thinley sauteed in butter folded into soft scrambled eggs with cheese. fresh biscutts.

Lots of those buildings in Canada but the freight thing would make those prohibitive. Ernie

thanks ernie, maybe I can find a pic on the FarmTek website. If I had something like that I could finally finish painting my truck in it!

White shrimp dusted with blackened fish seasoning, stir-fried/cooked in a black skillet with olive oil, garlic, purple bell peppers, served with rice, collard greens cooked to perfection.

Maybe I can just put some 4X4's in the ground with some pvc hoops over them, cover in plastic and make my own garage tent, eh? ô¿ô

Lakeview, MI(Zone 5a)

hey!thanks for the recipies, both of them fit right in for my reducing diet.

Everson, WA(Zone 8a)

Nice try Zenzennia but my body fails to refect the dietetic side of my recipe I think I forgot to mention the Strawberry jam with the biscutts and the whole milk not that blue near milk the skinney people drink.

Horseshoe yes I think you could and even eaiser yet if you have the side of a building to come off of. Ernie

Esther z6 what is poultry flooring? Ernie

South Point, OH(Zone 6a)

I'll have to look in the catalog and then scan the pictures or go take digital pictures - not very efficient at it yet. Will make it my project for tomorrow.

I am trying to talk DH into buying me a larger GH, they have some nice ones. He just knows, the more space I have, the more plants I'll get!!!

Honeybee

Baker City, OR(Zone 5b)

Honeybee, isn't that the whole idea?

Saucier, MS(Zone 8b)

Mary,

Yes. But DH knows within a year of getting a bigger one, I will want a larger one. DH said his next wife will hate plants!!! I told him, he should be glad have so many plants, cause he all ways knows where I am. WATERING PLANTS!! Hey, that is what I need next, watering system.

Honeybee

Everson, WA(Zone 8a)

Honeybee keep the pressure on for another greenhouse DH is bluffing tell him you don't intend to let his next wife move in with you.

For years I told Linda I may not renew her contract. Now 38 years later I would be devastated without her and I knew that 38 years ago.

I wonder if you could build on minature railroad tracks os you could just pull it apart in the center and add a section?Ernie

Lakeview, MI(Zone 5a)

eweed,I was just going to leave off the biscuts! the vegies look soo good.

Everson, WA(Zone 8a)

Zenzennia I have only grown peppers for three years and just this year started eating them. I don't like bell peppers in raw or baked form so when I started growing sweet peppers for their looks I just gave them all away.

I decided to try some this year because Linda infered anyone growing about 30 pepper plants was crazy if they didn't eat them at all so I experimented and not only do they sound good I really like them this way. I even like the Bell peppers this way. My son picks them off the plant and eats them in the garden but maybe I will wait for a while on that one.

With my obsession to grow things Even though I am now eating them I will still have many to share. Just goes to show you old dogs can change their ways. Ernie

Saucier, MS(Zone 8b)

eweed,

DH doesn't know where anything is (not even his own tools, like I used his saw last!!), so I know he would be lost without me. Don't think he has heard the last of a larger GH.
By the time he gives in he will be begging me to get the next larger size!!!

Honeybee

Lakeview, MI(Zone 5a)

eweed, wish you lived closer! I love peppers, cooked or raw.

Everson, WA(Zone 8a)

ZenZinna wish you did to it's a lot of work to keep on giving all the stuff I grow away while it is in prime condition. It interupts with my watering program Well it will be different when I retire then I can grow a lot of stuff that I just dont have the time to fiddle with right now. Ernie

Lakeview, MI(Zone 5a)

eweed, it is a lot of work to get every thing harvested in prime condition . I't been my experiance that everyone wants the produce, but want it all harvested and delivered. Gosh! I have done that many times before I would see it go to waste! You will love retirement,I'm having so much fun with my gardening now that I am retired.

Everson, WA(Zone 8a)

Zenzennia yep intend to fish a lot as well.Ernie
