Have you ever bought a plant primarily because of its name?
Because of Its Name
Good question kelli :)
Yes, I'm totally seduced by some of the French named old roses. I do check that they have scent etc before I buy - but cannot resist eg Celine Forestier, du Maitre d'Ecole (Jenny Duval), Madame Pierre Oger, Fantin Latour, Ferdinand Pichard, Madame Alfred Carriere........
SO romantic lol
I recently took a trade in loo(sp) of postage because it had my dad's name. Got a description of what it looks like and said alrighty you got a deal.lol
Not totally... I have a Zenobia both because I liked the name plus I liked the blue foliage.
Awwww, look at her! I haven't bought anything for the name, but when I worked at J&P, we had many calls from people wanting roses and other plants because of their names (especially those which commemorated well-known people like Princes Di, Billy Graham, etc.).
Oh, Dravencat, your "Isabelle" is so beautiful! What a cool thread we have going here. Thanks, Kelli.
