Went for my daily walk, worked a bit in the yard, went to eat, took a nap, etc., etc.
Sorry, won't let it happen again.

You are allowed to do all those things...so long as you stop in between to poke your head in here for a few.

Our grandson leaves his puter running 24/7 and is on his third power supply.
I isn't dat dumb!

Newark, OH(Zone 5b)

Zoinks! What does your grandson DO on that thing, or what's he plugging the thing into? ;)

We've always left our computers on 24/7 and have never had to replace a power supply in the 9 years we've owned our motley series of computers. We've never trashed a PC yet, just passed them on to others in working condition.

Games. Figures! Probably overclocks, too. ;) If Olds has his way, he'll make gamers out of Howie and me... http://davesgarden.com/t/406038/ Then we'll be the ones going through power supplies like candy.

So glad we found you Ulrich.
You must check in at least once daily.
I have been thinking about leaving my comp. on 24/7. So many opinions on that. I don't have an extra phone line. I do have call wave and I don't miss calls..They say it's easier on the comp. by leaving it on.
Kim, what are you using for a power supply?

We have a surge protector that we also route our coax cable and phone lines through before they reach the computer.
