Ummmm, I don't think Google used to be Ask Jeeves - I think they use very different technology, and a recent Wall Street Journal article on Google's popularity (and upcoming IPO) didn't mention Ask Jeeves in their history info. There's a new one run by Ask Jeeves - Teoma, I think? It's pretty good, but not as thorough as Google. For the record: Google rules here. Used to use Northern Lights when I did technical research for work (late 90s), but I preferred Google then and still do.

(Sorry for breaking the one-word rule :)

Dogpile searches using several search engines, one of them Google, when you do a query. So you are using Google, anyway. :)

Google Finland http://www.google.fi

I also have Google Toolbar in my IE which makes searching much faster - http://toolbar.google.com/

I never use anything else anymore, Google just is the only and best one for me.

North Tonawanda, NY(Zone 3a)

Google, with latest toolbar that has image search and built-in popup blocker.

Big Thanks for starting this thread, Mark! I CAN use one word to describe it--"educational".

I think Kathy-Jo meant that she used to use Askjeeves...as I did too...until I found Google in a magazine I was reading.

I understand that AskJeeves is by Yahoo and conducts it's search in the yahoo web site first. Not susre of that but heard it somewhere. Jo

Mount Prospect, IL(Zone 5a)
