Wow! That was a really informative link. I knew from living down south how rampant honeysuckle, kudzu, and vinca was. Here at my new (to me)house, it is IVY that I am battling. It is really scary to think that we, gardeners, have a hand in spreading some of these pests. Here I am, tearing out the ivy and it is readily available at almost every garden center as an economical ground cover.

I can sure sympathize with the Ivy battle, I cleared almost 1/4 acre of the stuff that got a way from me a few years back! It took a couple of seasons of constant pulling to finally get rid of those roots, didn't want to spray it because I still would have had to pull roots. It was all up in the trees, etc. My dh said the one that planted it should be shot - it was me!! I started it on a bank to stop erosion, took 3 yrs to get it going, and almost that long to get rid of it!

But Kudzu is so pretty and smells so good when it's blooming :) It's a scary thought when you think of how much land this stuff has taken over and how hard it is to eradicate it.
