no newsletter

Hi DG crew, I haven't gotten a new newsletter since October 28th. Is this supposed to be this way or is something wrong with my server?Joann

The newsletter system at Dave's Garden automatically unsubscribes members from the mailings when the email address bounces.

If you are no longer receiving the newsletter, it is likely that your email address has bounced back to us in recent times, and the system automatically unsubscribed you.

Getting back on the newsletter list is simple. Just go to your preferences page and make sure that the check is placed in the newsletter checkbox (and make sure to click on Submit!).

You might also check with your ISP to determine what might have caused the bounce, so it doesn't happen again (ISPs shouldn't be bouncing legitimate mail for folks).

I did as you said, Dave, and sure enough the box was NOT checked to receive nightly newsletter. MMmmmm,. very curious indeed. I did receive other email during this time frame but makes me wonder how much other mail was bounced. Thanks for the tip and I will check with my server. Joann

I was offline for 2 weeks, a power surge fried my computer. As a result, when I got back online, I had over 1,000 emails. Gadzooks!!!!!!! Some of my mail I never recieved, due to my mailbox being full. So, I see that my little box needed to be checked too in "Preferences". Good news, tho, a whole new computer system-monitor, processer, and scanner/printer, cost me the miserly sum of $100.00. That's what the deductible was on my insurance policy! Isn't that great!? Glad to be back, I missed all the going's on.
