Lottery: $$$$$$$$

Lewisville, MN(Zone 4a)

16 people from central Minnesota won half the powerball jackpot Saturday night. They are cooks & a janitor at a school in the small town of Holdingford.

News release said they served lunch at the school, then hopped a bus for lottery headquarters to collect their winnings.

Each had put in 25¢ & they bought 4 tickets as a group.
They are sharing 33 Million after taxes!

That sounds like a wonderful situation to be in. :) They're hard workers, I imagine, so I'm sure it's deserved. I suppose the school will have to hire some new folks, though. :)

Oh, I heard about this today and just smiled from ear to ear! What a great win for those people!

That's the kind of win I really enjoy hearing about! A group of regular working folks. Great!

I'm so happy for them. In the article I read they said they weren't going to quit their jobs because the kids still needed to be fed and the school still needed to be cleaned.

It also said that they had been putting 25 cents from each paycheck into the lottery since 1990. They deserve to win with that dedication.

I've been trying to find out if they always played the same numbers or if they did a quick pick. Anyone know?
