Daves Garden Pamphlet

Willacoochee, GA(Zone 8b)

dave, you have anything like this?
I get alot of customers out at the farm during the selling season and was wondering if you had some sorta brochure or something like that we can have a small stack of.

figure If I can get 5-10 people a year to subscribe it'd be very worthwhile.

Drew

Sure do! Right here: http://davesgarden.com/media.php

You can download it in PDF format, suitable for printing out. Does that look like what you were looking for?

well shave my belly and call me Eunice! I didn't know we could do that. Looks like I could be "armed and dangerous" with DG info. Goodness knows Kim and I told so many folks about it this past week, everyone wanted to know what was Kim doing in S.Louisiana and how we got to know each other. It would have been nice to hand them the info. about DG.

Everson, WA(Zone 8a)

'Shave my belly and call me Eunice'? ROFLOL I believe that belongs in the 'Downhome Sayings' thread. It is a classic!

"down the Shore", NJ(Zone 7a)

Do not make the mistake of doing a google on THAT expression!

Frederick, MD(Zone 6a)

That is pretty darn nifty! I can't tell you how many people we're always telling about DG for one reason or another. Great question DeepRoots and Thanks Dave!

Question....what is a "summer membership conference"?? Jo

Newark, OH(Zone 5b)

John - any search with "shave" brings up some pretty nefarious results.

Dayton, OH(Zone 5a)

Good question with a great answer! I'll have to print and carry with me as it comes up in conversation so much that I just don't communicate it well enough. Thanks!

Dave, the information I printed out was great but i wish you could put it in a folding brochure format with your logo. I'd put it in the library where other brochures are and also give it to my local extension agency.....

Willacoochee, GA(Zone 8b)

that is more what I was thinking woodspirit...
regardless of what I say to a customer, first impressions last the longest.

either way, I'm sure I can get at least 20 people to sign up a year via the farm.

Dave, I agree it would be nicer if you could format the brochure in a tri-fold with logo in color.

I'd love to make it a trifold thing, too, but... How? Has anyone here ever made a tri-fold brochure? What tool did you use to make it?

I guess it would have to be run through your printer twice...just like doing Greeting cards. I'll bet GW and others that are so computer smart could do it....LOL I do know I have to print one side of my card and run it back through my printer for the other side. JMHO Jo

Edited to say that a brochure needs some colored pictures to make it more interesting. Jo

dave, do you have Pagemaker? Easy to do it in there (instructions are in the manual), plus you can export to a PDF. Just be sure to leave generous margins to accomodate many printers.

Franklin, LA(Zone 9a)

I've used publisher, since it's what I have. It's easy enough. But I'm pretty sure any desktop publishing program would work.

A long time ago I used Pagemaker for a trifold. I don't know if we still own the software or not it's been so long. I'll check into this...

Manhattan Beach, CA(Zone 11)

I use Print Shop. Everyone should have that.

I've done tri-folds using MS Publisher 2000. You could distill it into a PDF that had the front and back images and people could print their own 2-sided brochures at home.

See! I knew she could do it! Jo

Newark, OH(Zone 5b)

I've been messing around with it -- I'll post a couple screen prints in a moment.

Payneville, KY(Zone 7a)

Dave, I make my tri-fold brochures through Microsoft Publisher and can print and email.

Outside of brochure. It might be a little blurry.

Inside. I know the Forbes logo can't be used without their permission, but thought it might be a good thing for you to have in there.

Oops - I notice the Trading Tools isn't in its own paragraph.

You go girl ~ that looks awesome!

Lake Toxaway, NC(Zone 7a)

It looks great! How about a couple pictures? Maybe one of a brugie that was a photo contest winner and maybe one of a round-up?

Murfreesboro, TN(Zone 7a)

I would caution against adding images because reproducing them in black-and-white will never look as good as when they're in color. And color brochures can get expensive in a hurry :o)

Newark, OH(Zone 5b)

I was thinking that if it were in PDF format, people could print copies at home and distribute them. They would not be (easily) editable, so there would not be an issue of unapproved changes being made to them.
