You know, there are certain things you expect when you drive almost two hours to see a friend and well some things, you'd just never expect! LOL Hubby and I loaded up and went to see Mystic/Peggy yesterday....This is what we found!
Scooby Dooby HUH?
As you can see, my kids were absolutley thrilled! Well all of them except the little one. She kept looking over shoulder and smacking away the big paws that kept trying to hug her. LOL She had just woke up and Peggy walked over to say hi. Talk about panic. She screamed and backed away and wanted nothing to do with a five foot dog!
Soon after we went inside and stuffed our faces with pizza and breadsticks. I even sneaked a piece of white chocolate fudge. Mmmmmmmm. I think the kids cleaned her out of chocolate milk and pop while I chugged ice tea. Those road trips sure make you thirsty! After all that eating, Peggy pointed the girls to several bags of clothes and there was one heck of a fashion show. Not sure if Peggy has any decent pictures of that. LOL Then she loaded the kids up with bags of candy and tiny porcelain dolls. I got plants and bulbs and seeds. he he he And for those of you that know me, I crossed a big bridge TWICE! We went the back way this time up a nice country type two lane road and it was a beautiful trip. I'm glad I got my new car. :) Anybody else need a visit???
Woof, woof Peggy,
Aren't you the cute one. Do you wear this on Halloween or just when you have company? lol
Sounds like you all had a fun day, especially the girls. Michele, I'm so proud of you that you tackled another bridge. One of these days, you won't even realize that your going over one. Now if you came out to So. Calif., we don't have any bridges you need to cross to get every where.
Was that pretty blue dress Peggy's hand me downs? She must have been a pretty slim lady at one time. haha
Thanks for sharing your visit with us.
Donna
It was a great day and I had a ball. I always love when Chele and gang come to visit. They just never stay long enough. What she failed to mention is she brought me plants and bulbs including a 7ft grass that they thought they would have to tie on top of the surburan.I love everything she brought.
Donna yep that's how I greet my visitors. lol As for the clothes they are Heather's.
I need to check out my pictures and see what I can add.
What great photos; got a real kick out of all of them! Thanks for sharing :)
What a neat way to greet your visitors!
Sounds like a great time was had by all.
Looks like you all had a WONDERFUL time! Waaahhh, I wish I was there.
I totally agree Miss Vic.
Badseed - all your babies are prettier than the next one! Doesn't get much sweeter than this :)
Loved the pics .... and the great sense of humour Mystic. I've always wanted to dress up like that or in some fashion when visitors came but never have the nerve. Loved it, laughed till I cried and thought what must have been going through those little ones' minds. I needed to see that today. Thanks to you all for sharing this time with us.D.
Mystic you make such a nice Scooby. Love it. Michele your girls are such beautiful young ladies.
VERY nice! What a great time/experience ya'll had! (Hope Mystic dresses up if I ever come to visit her!)
BS...them chillun's is growing up too fast! (You raising a harem or sumpin'???) Love it!
What great pics, and a great gathering. Now THAT'S a DG Roundup for sure!
Hey, you went to Peggy's? Way cool, Chele! Is the Suburban better driving for ya? Good to see everyone again. Roooooby Doooby Dooooo!
Ha! Peggy that is too funny! 'Chele, the kidlets are getting so big.
Thanks to all of you! We had a good time but we always do. I set my odometer for the trip just to see how far it was. Believe it or not, round trip to Peggy's the back way was exactly 159 miles. As we were driving through Brown Co. I was feeling so bad that I did not let Melissa know I would be driving through. We did look at the houses and cars to try to figure out if she was right there. LOL Next time she will have to be included if she has time. And yes Kimberely, I love my new car! I wish I would have had it a week sooner than I did. I am ready for a RU now!!
Great photos! I wish, I could be there too but too bad I lives toooo far away!
Michele, your girls are just beautiful. It looks like you guys had a great day with Scooby-Mystic. Isn't Dave's Garden wonderful for all the friendships that have been built? And you drove it all in your Suburban, way to go. You are braver than I would be. Joann
Mishele...and Mystic...Thanks for a good laugh...and letting me get a peek at my girls again....Let's keep an eye on that Morganne...she looks about ready to start courtin!! Get that shotgun shined up.Jo
What a trip I bet that was. Good to see all of you again.
looks like a great visit-wow the girls are getting so big so fast!
we luv scooby!
Great pictures and looks like a great visit was had by all too.
Those girls of yours are getting better and better with age and they are adorable and cute as babies too. The boys will be knocking at your door wayyyy too soon. Better put bars on the doors and windows.
I love the Scooby outfit, Peggy! Almost right out of Disney World and such a fun way to surprise the girls.
And, the kids are just precious! I can't believe the littlest was just so small when you brought my secret trades, Seed! You were breast feeding that tiny girl who looks so big now :)
Hey, Peggy, any posts about Heather's trip to New York?
The visit was great as always. Deb no pic's of the NY trip she didn't get them made on cd and I don't have a scanner anymore. :(
Well, she had fun, right? I was curious how the weather turned out and what her favorite thing was while there?
Sorry Morph, yes she had a good time. It was cold, I wasn't such a dummy after all for having her take a heavy coat.lol
I think her favorite thing was zone zero. Where the twin towers where and the one statue that survived the attack and has been moved.
I can't imagine the feelings she & her travel mates must have had there. I get teary eyed thinking about it much less having the nerve to go there.
I thought it might be cold, too, as I was there just once and froze like the dickens! Glad she listened to her mom ☺
