Spanish moss is a seed producing plant btw.
It may be easier to mail some seed, that way it both stores better, and there is no chigger issue.

If I recall it is in the genus Tillandsia.

wow - Spanish Moss seeds - whoda thunk it?
Born and raised near the swamps of South Louisiana, and it never occurred to me that there could be seeds ...

What do they look like? How would you collect them? And how would you plant them? This just seems bizarre to me, therefore interesting.
