Panic ! relief and anger!!!

Bolton, Greater Manc, United Kingdom(Zone 8a)

Simon my 5 year old was messing around with his older sister. She was stopping him from coming through the door and he was pushing it. In the end he decided to charge his way in and yes youve guessed it, he fell straight through the glass door!!!! :O I heard the breaking glass from another room and rushed in to find him laying on the floor with glass everywhere. Well you can imagine my panic!! I imagined to find a deep cut with blood everywhere. Then imagine my relief when amazingly the only injuries he had where very small cuts to his hand and a slight graze to his elbow. Then when I realised he was ok the anger kicked in. Not only had I told them over and over not to mess with the door but the door was a right off as well.

I think they realised how cross I was because they all disappeared off outside to play! :))
It was a real rollercoaster of emotions and he was one very lucky boy indeed!

Oh, mercy! I'm so glad they're okay and that you didn't kill them both, LOL!! :D

Panama, NY(Zone 5a)

Don't you just love being a mother - "Your all right???? Thank God!!!! Come here, I'm going to kill you!!!!!" All in the space of 15 seconds! Glad it all turned out well except for the door. Fortunately, doors can be easily replaced (hmm, no allowance until College?).

Scotia, CA(Zone 9b)

Glad the kids are ok and that you were able to restrain yourself from injuring them further when you realized they were ok :~)

Well, don't be too scarce. I love to see what you and your munchkins are up to.

Wow -- that could have been such an awful thing. What relief you must have experienced, to find that the major damage was shattered glass!

Brings back memories. My brother was chasing my sister with a broom and she pushed against the window on the screen door and her arm went right through. She cut her arm. Mom took her into the hospital to have stitches and the doctor said she narroly missed her main artery.

Payneville, KY(Zone 7a)

My brother fell through a glass roof one time and was hurt bad, not so bad he had to go to the hospital (they didn't put you in the hospital for every little thing then), but enough that he was cut badly on his back and had to lay on his belly for a long time. I cried and cried and sat by his bedside for what I remember to be days. Probably was an hour :) I had forgotten all about that until reading this post. :)

Belfield, ND(Zone 4a)

Oh my! How scary! I'm so glad he is okay.
