How many states have you visited?

Lincoln City, OR(Zone 9a)

ouch!!! Poor little door didn't know what was coming did it?

I am sure glad your little one is ok though. Sounds like you will have to have a memorial service for your door and bury it in the State of Psilo.

Western, PA(Zone 6a)

Has this thread become too wide, or do I need to readjust my quadrifocals?

Tellico Plains, TN(Zone 7b)

Ya hey goldog =)

Antrim, Northern Ire, United Kingdom(Zone 8b)

I thought it was something I had done. I think we need wide screen monitors

Western, PA(Zone 6a)

Maybe we can go to the movie theater for use of the wide screen.:)

Oklahoma City, OK(Zone 7a)

Ok, let's see...IL, MO, KS, CO, WY, NM, TX, OK, AR, LA, MI, AL, KY, TN, OH, PA, NY, DE, MD, VA, WV, FL, GA, SC, NC, NJ, MA, IA, WI, NE, MI, IN, and HI. I think that's 33. I have lived in 5 of those states. The rest I have visited.
I also went to Germany, Austria and France.

Tellico Plains, TN(Zone 7b)

looks like 1/2 " wider

Antrim, Northern Ire, United Kingdom(Zone 8b)

2.5 inches wider for me. Maybe it will be wrap around by the morning.

Payneville, KY(Zone 7a)

Scooterbug, You should check out New England on one of your trips. :)

Holland, MI(Zone 6a)

Wast ist? I get a good view of the whole DG screen. Am I missing somethin'?

Bird, who ain't very up om computers and techology.

Northport, ME(Zone 5b)

You asked, (well somebody did) ME, NH, VT, MA, CT, NY, MD, NC, SC, GA, FL, CO, WY, RI,and NB, NS, PEI, NF. 80% were 20 years ago. Would like to see Newfoundland again. Maybe GA or FL in Feb? I bet you guys don't get 20 below as normal. Frank.

Belfield, ND(Zone 4a)

Only one person that's posted has ever been to North Dakota! Come on you guys. I'm feeling really isolated here. LOL

Didn't you ever wanna see the deer and the antelope play?

northeast, IL(Zone 5a)

Hey Joan, I've been to ND, I just didn't list individual states!!
Deb

Belfield, ND(Zone 4a)

Oh thank you Deb! LOL I was feeling so very lonely.

Lincoln City, OR(Zone 9a)

and Joan? I have been to North Dakota multiple times. Does that make you feel any better?

(Shhhhh, nobody tell Joan that I visited ND on my way to my Grandparents in Minn.)

Bolton, Greater Manc, United Kingdom(Zone 8a)

wider screen? think I am missing something too. What browser/screen resolution are you on?

Antrim, Northern Ire, United Kingdom(Zone 8b)

it has now rectified itself.

I'm using 800 x 600 I think

Western, PA(Zone 6a)

I would change the browser/screen resolution on the computer if I knew how, and if all the forums/threads were this wide. Only this thread is very wide.

Holland, MI(Zone 6a)

North Dakota? Is that any where near South Dakota? I hope to visit that area one of these years.

Bird

Antrim, Northern Ire, United Kingdom(Zone 8b)

Golddog you dont need to change the resolution but most web sites, I think, are done so they look best 800x600, I think again LOL. It can all be done very simply from your desk top

someone else may want to comment about resolution

So.App.Mtns., United States(Zone 5b)

Wow, what Travellers we have here! I think I have been to all states but HI and AK, and one trip to Cuba before the embargo. Plus, some of Canada from Toronto to Ottawa.

Just after WWII when I was 6, we made an extensive trip up and down and across the US that took most of a year. It was with a friend of my mother's who's husband was a window decorator. We had a 40' Zimmerman travel trailer pulled by some kind of coupe with a rumble seat, and I saw the US from the rumble seat.

The 5 of us (they had a daughter a bit older than I was) would go to one town where Gene would solicit business. He'd bring all the old fabrics back to the trailer park(s) and my mother and his wife would clean and mend them. Then off to the next town, where he's use the now clean and mended fabrics to do it all over again.

My dad was in the Navy, and I've lived in a zillion places in the US both as a child, and on my own as an adult. Plus for many years I was in sales and marketing and covered a lot of the US that way.

I still like the Appalachian mountains the best.

Everson, WA(Zone 8a)

I am a state light weight visiting or living in five plus Canada B.C.

I did do a train trip that let me see many states from the tracks but next time I will buy a ticket and get a window seat.

I have been in more far east countries than states.

I now reside in the state of confusion.

And scooterbug this ones for you. What a shame you missed the Alaska trip with your friends. Summers are not that cold I have fished there in my shirt sleeves many times and even went swimming once in the saltwater.

The Matanuska valley grows some fantistic garden things due to good soil and extremly long daylight. That valley is on my list of places to go see. Ernie

Antrim, Northern Ire, United Kingdom(Zone 8b)

mentioning well travelled reminds me of skewl daze when for punishment we had to write 500 word essay on a subject set by the teacher. One guy was given the topic 'A country I would like to and why?'

He started off by writing

"A country I would like to visit is Afghanistan .......
Zimbabwe ( listing all countries. I would like to visit
Afghanistan ....... Zimbabwe ( listing all countries) because
...." It wasnt accepted for obvious reasons.

This thread got very wide on me too. I don't know why or how to fix it for good, but to make it easier to read while it is so wide you can select view -> text size -> smaller. The problem is that then you have to go back up a size while viewing all the other (normal) threads.

Western, PA(Zone 6a)

I can just pull it from right to left with the bottom scroll.

Lincoln City, OR(Zone 9a)

this is the only thread I have found that is wide.

Castelnau RB Pyrenée, France(Zone 8a)

Yes, golddog, it is amusingly wide, but the same as you I don't find it a problem as I too can use the scroll bar

Bolton, Greater Manc, United Kingdom(Zone 8a)

resolution can be changed through your control panel by selecting display>settings but this is only possible if you have a high resolution computer. Mine is 1024X768 which is a browser 4 but most like the 800X600 is browser 3.

Mark when you designed your website did you not make it Browser 3 compatible? ie designing the page so all the width can be seen in one go like with browser 4?

Antrim, Northern Ire, United Kingdom(Zone 8b)

pass. can I phone a friend?

It can all be seen on screen unless someone knows different.

Helsinki, Finland(Zone 4b)

This thread looks just normal to me.

Western, PA(Zone 6a)

Ok, I will call for an appointment to have my quadrifocals looked after. This situation is becoming a little bit eerie, to say the least. Strange things do happen as the calender proceeds to the end of October.

Murfreesboro, TN(Zone 7a)

The thread was uncommonly wide because there were three posts that had "run-on strings" of characters - states separated by commas but not spaces. A string of characters that is not broken up by spaces is treated all as one word. The forum software goes as wide as the widest word (when there's a word with more characters than the minimum width.)

Castelnau RB Pyrenée, France(Zone 8a)

Oh LOL mine's just gone back to normal too, but only in the last 10 minutes golddog

Yes, witching season is upon us ;-D

Western, PA(Zone 6a)

Thanks Terry, nice to have an answer to this.

Tonasket, WA(Zone 5a)

Golddog, guess I'm not too late to get in on this travel bit. I have been to all but 4 of the US states, and one of the closest I haven't been to is Alaska!! have been within 20 miles when I visited my brother in the Queen Charlottes. Have been the lenghth of S. America, also Ecuador (and the islands which are part of Ecuador and i can't remember the famous name), Costa Rica, Belize, Mexico, all of Canada except Northwest Territories.

Other countries, England, Holland, Germany, Switzerland, France, and probably some i have missed. Love to travel. Donna

Western, PA(Zone 6a)

rutholive, you may qualify as our resident travel agent with all the travel you have amassed. Doesn't travel give a new perspective on life? Just seeing our own life from afar.

Antrim, Northern Ire, United Kingdom(Zone 8b)
