John Paul II celebrates twenty five years today as pope. This is an amazingly long pontificate. God Bless him for all his tireless work for the Church. History will record him with many accomplishments.

We aren't Catholic but I do see news about him and what he has done that looked really good. I think he will long be remembered by all. It is sad to see him becoming weaker and I am glad to see that he is helping to pick his successor.

We are all blessed to have had such a courageous, compassionate man at the head of the Catholic Church for so long. Tho his time with us is not yet up, history will surely be kind to him when it is.

I pity and pray for his successor, this will be a 'hard act to follow'.
