When you get a book there is usually a return postage sticker in there where they pay the postage back. Mine was inside the book. I had to open the package to find it and then look through the book to find the sticker.
If you have any questions about stuff there is a number you can call, if I remember right.
I just had nightmares trying to stop the Time/Life books when I wanted to. Another company, of course. They kept sending them even though I repeatedly wrote to them telling them I no longer was interested. Finally I called them and told them STOP!!!! LOL It worked.

Dori,

Did you get that yard vac to test AFTER you bought the life membership?

I have been a member for 2-3 years now. Spent so much time here at Dave's I forgot they have a webclub too. I'll have to go over there and look again. I just renewed my subscription and got some coleus seeds to test. I also received a veggie dip mix from Rabbit Creek. It was quite good.

Biggest thing I received to test was a pair of pruning clips with padded handles. I liked it, gave it a good rating. Then one day I had to prune some things back from some walls at work so I could paint, the nuts and bolts fell off in the grass and I couldn't find them. So threw it away.

I really did like them though.

I do like the mags. I caught up on some reading recently and have been inspired on a new planting plan.

Thanks for bringing this thread up. I want to go look over there now.

It was hard getting them to stop sending books and convincing them I really wanted to terminate the membership.

I was a member for a year. It was OK, but I didn't sign back up again because at that point I had discovered on-line gardening forums, and I felt I didn't need them anymore.

I think I figured out the secret to getting them to stop sending books (kinda accidentally.) When I received my first book, I thought it was a freebie, so I didn't pay for it (slight problem with paying attention here!) A couple of months later, I rediscovered the package insert, and realized that it was the first in a set and that I was supposed to have paid for it. Uh, oops. They never sent a bill, though, so I never paid for it. They never sent any more books, either. So I guess I was "lucky" to have messed that up!

Their forums leave something to be desired and the method of posting photos is really a chore. http://forums.gardeningclub.com/groupee/forums
