Ya just had to make me do it. LOL Luckily I had enough leftovers in the fridge to throw together a pretty decent soup, added some 'maters and herbs and then....THE DUMPLINGS!

Oh dumplings are awesome. Joan, your dumplings look wonderful. What's your recipe? :)

Belfield, ND(Zone 4a)

I used the bisquick dumpling recipe. It's really a good one. Makes light fluffy dumplings.

Shoe was talking about dumplings in chat last night and I hadn't eaten anything and was getting hungry. They sounded so good and I knew that I wouln't sleep until I got the craving out of my system. So, I threw together a quick soup using leftovers and cooked the dumplings in that. It turned out real tasty.

I told him I was going to post a picture for him.

Oh my my mercy me!!!

That looks scrumptious!!

Hah!...ya'll shoulda heard her last nite folks! (They should NEVER ask me what I'm having for supper!) I could tell she was getting faint, teetering, nearly falling to the floor...she just HAD to get up and go make some dumplings!

Looks to me like it was a good idea, too!

Ruth, ya gotta have dumplings in soup. Especially with a good broth! Cook em ten minutes uncovered, then ten minutes covered. Mercy me! Tastes so good it'll turn your hair red! (I've had 'em quite a few times!) ;>)

I like red hair so I'm for sure going to try dumpings in the next soup I make. I have two great friends who have red hair and I think that is why they are so sweet, and I want to be just like them.

I have a red-headed daughter and I always thought it came from my FIL's family. Maybe it's all the dumplings I ate while I was pregnant with her. :)

That looks gooood, Joan. I missed getting into chat by 6 minutes Tuesday night. Ah, well! I've never tried making dumplings, but I like Bisquick shortbread with strawberries and whipped cream. Mmmmmm....

JoanJ - My wife often "throws together" some soup. Dumplings are a great addition. I am getting hungry.

Thanks for the nice foto.

Sometimes that thrown together soup turns out really good, doesn't it? Yummy.
