Does this make you homesick?
Terry
Ooooh, great shots! I'm so glad you got to spend some time on the grounds; the building is such a nice facility (we had many professional luncheons and meetings there, because of its proximity to downtown.)
I have some really nicely done professional images of DD (age 3) sitting amid the tulips at Woodward Park in her Easter dress (crinolines, patent leather shoes, and her "Shirley Temple" curls she had back then); it's one of my all-time favorite mental "snapshots" of her at that age. The tulips were so beautiful, they almost look fake.
But homesick? Nah, not really. Tulsa was our "home" for 15 years, but Tennessee was DH's birthplace, and we always knew we'd eventually wind up back here. We miss our friends, but not the miserable August weather, and nonstop wind!!!
Terry, I would love to see that photo! Any way you can oblige?
I did spend a little time talking with one of the volunteers working in the outdoor space in front of the conservatory. As all over the country, budgets are running low, so they are having to scale back. Only one greenhouse in the complex is still in use.
