I just posted a .bmp just for the heck of it, to see what would happen. Lo and behold DG changed it into a .jpg.
Hurrah, that saves us the rigamarole of converting prior to sending.

Yes, except bmp files are 10 times the size of jpgs, so it is a waste of bandwidth to use them. Other than that, it's no big deal. (I don't discourage bmps at all)
