looking for HUNTER-Plez look
Dori,
Do you have the link to Hunter's memorial web page? It's a joy to read. If you don't, I'll see if I can track it down.
http://plantsdatabase.com/search.php?search_text=hunter
a quick PDB search turns up 9 plants, several daylilies. I'm sure there are more out there.
Sorry I don't have anything named Hunter to contribute.
Cheri'
Here are a few I found with a quick search...
tree/shrub - Ilex decidua 'Hunter', or 'Hunter' Possumhaw

Toward the bottom of the page at this link, you find reference to a rhododendron hybrid called 'Hydon Hunter'.

There is a hardy shrub rose listed on this link as Rosa the Hunter.

And finally, Pitcher Plant (Sarracenia spp.) Four species occur in Georgia -- Trumpets or Hunter's Horn (S. flava), Sweet Pitcher Plant (S. rubra), Hooded Pitcher Plant (S. minor) and Hunter's Cup or Flytrap (S. purpurea). All are insectivorous plants with hollow leaves that are often partially filled with water and decaying insects. They occur most often in bogs and moist savannahs. Perennial.
Hope this helps!
Here's the web page I was talking about...
