KY Round up videos

Ok, for all of you who are interested...we're starting to edit the video taken from the KY Roundup last month. Anyone who wishes to purchase one may send me an email with their DG name, real name and address. The cost will be $4.00 and that includes shipping.

I need to get an idea of how many people are wanting these before I go to buy blank tapes. The more I buy, the cheaper I can get them. :)

For informational purposes only, these videos will be professional quality. We do weddings and smaller projects mostly. I don't edit the video, so don't panic. :) My husband is the genius there. He says that for every minute of video in the final product, it takes at least an hour of edit time...so there is a lot involved.

Our video for the roundup will include music, titles, voice-overs, quotes - the works.

I am keeping all of your emails in a nice safe place. The video is going to be edited to 10-15 minutes. I have roughly an hour or more of raw footage to start with. It's a painstaking process to go frame by frame deciding what stays and what goes...what the format will be...deciding on other variables (which I won't mention so that there won't be any discussion about it). :) I'm looking forward to seeing it all done.

Ok, money is starting to come in. The blank video tapes are purchased. My husband is in the process of editing. Just a matter of time now. Interestingly, all of the editing is done on the computer. He can drop a scene in one place and if he (or I) don't like it, he can just drop it in another place. I hope you all like the music I selected. Several different styles, so hopefully something for everyone.

The video is done. Well....I still have to make 20 copies of it. :) I hope you all like it. Trying to pick out clips, include as many people as possible, selecting music, and so much more... is a challenge. I tried as best I could to make sure everyone was in at least one clip, so forgive me if I missed anyone. My husband will cash the checks tomorrow and we'll start mailing them out as we make copies, find boxes, etc. :)

He is such a genius when it comes to video editing. It's all done on the computer, so he can see how a clip looks and shorten it, make a still shot out of it, put it in slow motion, all of which had to be done on various clips. Some of the still shots are a bit jumpy, but that may be my lousy videotaping at times (especially if I'm zoomed in a lot).

This was a neat project. It's so wonderful to see all of you again. Of course, by the time I'm done copying the last of 20 videos, I may not want to see any of you until springtime. :)

Gosh, there are so many things I would already change if I were to do it again. :) I'd eliminate the still shots (too jumpy), I'd start the second piece of music a little sooner and on and on... Brent, my husband, says that's why there are "director's cut" movies. No director is ever completely happy with what they produce, either. :)

This was never a chore. I just want everyone to be happy.
