Just wondering...after being her a while I really don't like my name and wished I'd been more thoughtful and creative when I signed up. But in my haste to get access to all these great features I chose an old standby that seems rather non-descript and difficult for others to remember.
Can your DG ID be changed?
You're permitted a once-in-a-lifetime change, so "choose wisely, Grasshoppa" (she says in a bad parody of Pat Morita in the Karate Kid)
Seriously, Dave will - with only a little reluctance - do a one-time change. How long it takes depends on his workload, and subscribed members get bumped ahead of non-subscribers. If you have one in mind, email me and I'll see what I can do :o)
It better be one to match your high energy!!!You are too much fun!!!have not had that much fun, since I met your DG twin Cottosnag!
Well, I know who you are langbr, but kind of refer to you as lang burr. LOL Don't know if that is what you were going for. ;) Be careful what you pick, you could end up referred to as BS! LOL
We have a member in our church by the name of John Fuchs (pronounced with a long U). I wonder if he ever considered changing his name to Richard, or Bob.
BADSEED - I never thought of you in that way. I will try to restrain myself, but thanks for the thought.
BIRD (A name that really got abused in school.)

You would be amazed how many people type it then apologize. LOL It does not offend me in the least. :)
Hey, people abbreviate "that other site" the same way they abbreviate Gardenwife, so it's confusing sometimes! ;)
LOL GW in real life my initials are B.S.E. and at work my official signature is B.S.Essig. I get a few comments about the initials being descriptive of my personality somehow but being the sweet and niave person that I am, I don't understand what they mean by it...
Sweet? 'Essig' is German for 'Vinegar'. (~:
Quite a combination we have here!

same exuberance bit me. Then some one told me not to use my name. Oh well eweed is easier than headweeder anyway also I should have capped the first e.
I guess I will live. Ernie
It's good to get bitten by Exhuberance. That's the life should be lived. Do'ncha agree?

I used to run my own BBS from my home. Anyone remember what those were? The BBS was named Helltown and I was the Sysop named Jezzabelle. I had a habit of typing long replies to messages on the boards (forums) as they were called back then. One day as a person replied to an email they remarked that I was rather "windy" today. Well I thought that was a cute name, so I adopted it. That was back in the 80's! Now I still go by that and my husband who was just a mere member back then was Saxman. We still refer to each other that way when we give anniversary cards and birthday cards etc.
Just a old fogey from the bbs era.
I was given a different password for the Plants Database for some reason. I let RoboForm sort it all out.
Birdsall I would rather be exhuberant and fail now and then than to never feel alive at all.
After all they made planes to jump out of when you are young and ride when you get old right.
My last name means Vineger! I didn't know that. I knew it was German but not it's meaning.... Does that make my darlin Bob Vineger and me Vinegrette? LOL I think it fits!
So if you take my first two initials you have B.S. and Vineger... Hmmm... Yep... still fits!
WINDY - I go back a few years, but I do not know what a BBS is. Would you please fill me in?

A BBS is a bulletin board system. They used to have software programs that worked with your PC and modem.
You could set them up and people would call your computer and connect to it one at a time. If someone else was posting they would get a busy signal because it was a phone line.
The person who had the host computer was something they called a sysop which was a system operator. I could sit in my home and my monitor would show the person who was posting to the board typing in. I could hit chat at anytime and type with the person also.
It would be annoying though, so I only did it with people who were my close friends. Who would want to be interrupted when you were reading on the internet by a person, even if it were "DAVE" all the time.
We could set up different boards with different topics just like there are different forums and different topics.
My son bought the program for me when he was a teenager for a birthday present. Later on he regretted it because whenever we had the BBS set up and someone was using it, our phone line was out of commission! So he had the problem of a Mom always on the "phone" instead of me having problems with the kids tying up the line.
So that is a BBS in a nut shell.
Since most people called locally we got to have get to gethers and meet the people behind the typing. That is how I met my present husband.
I believe colleges had them to help with research papers and stuff also.
Oh my! Forgot to mark this as watched...and then went to Vegas and have been busy since I got back. Just catching up on all my reading today (should be outside!). Ulrich would be chastising me for abandoning my own post! heehee.
Terry--I'll give so serious thought and let you know what I want.
Root--whadya think? Suggestions?
