If anyone uses Ebay and has received emails lately asking to update information, it is most likely a hoax. I have received 4 of them in the last 4 days asking me to update information such as user, password, ssn, credit card number, birthdate, address. At first I thought it was legit and starting filling it out until I got to the part about my ssn. Well, I didn't ever remember giving them that information...bells went off. So I deleted my information, went to Ebay and there was a notice about where to send emails you aren't sure of. I have sent all 4 to spoof@ebay.com and they have written me back telling me that they are NOT Ebay emails and that Ebay will never, ever ask for such personal information in an email.
I hope it is okay to post this warning, I felt like I would reach more people through DG.
I hope this has helped someone. Kathy @Misty Meadows Farm
