UK's warmest year since records began in 1659

Antrim, Northern Ire, United Kingdom(Zone 8b)

The met office just released information about the UK's weather. Those who watch the European forum will know we have talked about it at length this year.

September was the warmest since records began in 1659 and January to September (end of) has been the warmest since records began too.

However in some areas they also had the coldest September night since records began (1659) with a low of -2.8C/26.96F

I know some of you guys in the US and central Europe can better these but remember we are an island and you are a continent. Just think if the shoe was on the other foot and you were getting record lows all year.

Helsinki, Finland(Zone 4b)

Oh my, even -2,8 C :O
They had something like -10 C in Lapland.. Haha.

We've had a very warm year too, and the Autumn has been long. We haven't had frost in our garden yet, and there has been frost in Canada and US already.

Western, PA(Zone 6a)

We must have set some kind of record for days with rain. I watered 3 or 4 times with the overhead, no more. And a couple with the hose for the vegetables. Sorry to hear of the heat conditions. Sounds like a lot of regrouping for next season.
