Hey, if Lisa can have a Crazy Cajun Van, we can have a Crazy Yankee Van! We are buying Chele's old van and should be able to pick it up on Sunday. Here's the pictures she sent us: http://davesgarden.com/j/viewentry/34026/
Nothing like keeping something in the family, huh? Howie's hoping to buy your Suburban some day when your family outgrows it and you have to buy a school bus. ;)

Keeping it in the family
That's great looks like it worked out great for everybody. Heck you won't want to tent camp now you will sleep in the van.
GW: So happy for all of you. That van looks sharp. All that you could ever want and need.
Wow! How great is that? Good deal Gardenwife, it's an awesome lookin' van!
Howie is really happy about the fold-down bed in back. That will be so nice for when he needs to stop and stretch out when we take trips. We've been limited in how far we could drive, but this should enable us to drive a lot more.
Road trip!!

LOL I just found this. Well, I had a hint too! I think your last pic, should have been the one of Howie and the KY windsail tent though. LOL My hubby is not as happy as I am about giving up the van but I was looking at the two car payments and he is still looking at his 94 Mazda. Gulp. I guess we better find him a truck soon. Anybody got a truck to give up?? I already told Howie a Suburban is in his future! I got the van because the owner needed a Suburban. Now I am selling the van because I bought a Suburban. LOL Howie and Kimberley are next!
It will be close to a suburban. I want the Tahoe. Not quite as long.
Oh no, not a 94 Mazda! What kind? There are horror stories with 94 Mazda. We have one sitting in the back of the farm now!
Looks like I won't be babysitting the girls till the baby is born. LOL Glad for you GW and Howie as well as Chele for selling the one car payment. Good luck to all of you.
Hubby has the 94 Mazda Protege that I bought new in 94. We never had a single problem with it. :) We did replace the clutch last year. It has around 80k miles on it. It's been a great car!
Okay, now who's in the market for this one? We need to keep all these wheels in the DG family, now! Chele - we got the overnighted paperwork with our mail today. Howie's heading over to the bank in just a little while.
Mom and dad are driving down with us on Sunday. They're so excited to get to meet you guys! It's going to be Ornry City with us all there in one place.
Tell Mom and Dad to bring ear plugs! LOL It will be nice to finally meet Mr. and Mrs. Lotusblossum. :)
Well it's a done deal. The paper work is all done and we will be heading down to Badseeds on Sunday to pick up the van. I can't wait.
WOW, that's a super-van! Congratulations to everybody involved in this deal. I was already day-dreaming of all the places I would visit if I had one.......
Badseed.......ME?....BRING EARPLUGS?!?!?! GW is probably rolling on the floor over that statement. My nerve deafness is a big joke with us. When I ask GW to repeat something I didn't hear, she likes to say "What dou THINK I said?" Then I tell her what it sounded like to me and she laughs and laughs.
I'll see you Sunday. I'm trying to locate the lotus seeds I gathered for you. I'll have to try and find out what kind of lotus mine is.
Cool! It will be so neat to finally meet you and Mr. Lotus! Hey, any of you folks have dietary restrictions?
I'm a fan of the see food diet. I don't think we do.
Good! Then fat, cholesterol, salt and all the good stuff will be included! LOL
Oh, and here I bit my tongue and didn't say a thing about the (lack of) need for earplugs!
Oh, Chele, you're not only selling us your van, but feeding us? I knew we loved you!
Hey...You know kids *love* a rousing game of telephone. We should play when we're there. It would be SUCH fun! ;)
Um, with the things that come out of the mouths of children, especially mine, I am not sure I'd like to risk what one of them might say!!! ROTFLOL
Howie just signed our old Plymouth over to his brother so we can transfer its tags to the van. Can't wait to see you all, girlfriend!
We'll be here, in our humble half way house! LOL Why do we call it that? Everything is done half way and half ummm, gee no nice way to say that! ROTF It will be great to see you and Howie again and especially nice to meet those that propogated you. LOL
Well, we're heading out the door - woohoo!
Badseed, my son bought a 94 Mazda 929 and there have been major horror stories with them, of course you hear these things after you've invested the money into them. It was a beautiful car but has a bad history with the engine. I'm glad you had great luck with your Protege. :) Kathy
I see a H & GW USA tour in your furture!!!!!
LOL They loaded up and off they went! I really meant to get a pic of Howie in the driver's seat. It looked like it was meant for him. I'm sure they'll post when they get home.
We just got home I am so upset this van is a piece of junk. It broke down on the way home 3 times.
LOL just kiding we love the van it ran wonderful all the way. This is so cool. Thank you so much Chele. We love it. We bought a chili peper plate cover for the back. Kimberley said it was me and I had to get it. LOL
Chele added her own touch and bought me a large mouth bass air freshner. LOL I told her it better not start smelling like fish.

HAH!....funny!
Congrats! (Ya'll just HAD to out-do me and my "new" little van!) However, I just know you'll enjoy it as much as I enjoy ours! Just a great piece of automobile!
(This just means you have to go camping more now, eh? Eh?
You never even let on that yours was new shoe. I would have checked it out a little closer and made a fuss over it. Shows you how observant I am. I thought it was the same one you drove last year. I do love vans it sure they sure are roomy.
Nope...mine wasn't "new new"...(it's a 95). The one I drove last yr was borrowed ( and it was GREEN, not white).
This yr I have my very own!. Like I said...ain't it a great thing!?
Hey ours is only a 97. It's new to us. See I told you I was observant. Green white they are close. Is this the first van you have had? I think I'm really going to like having a van.
Congratulations! You got to visit some great people and come home with new wheels and you had great weather to boot. Couldn't ask for a better day than that. Did the dogs get to go too? I bet they love the van as much as you all do.
Hi, NoH2O. No, the dogs didn't make the trek with us since mom and dad rode down with us in the Buick and followed us home in it. We're going to get sheets to put on the seats for when the dogs ride with us; we don't want their claws to puncture the leather seats!
Oh -- I forgot to say one other thing! THANKS, Melissa, for the allium and daffodil bulbs. I think I'll put them near the pond since we don't have much springtime color near it.
Sounds like you all had a great time together. I sure wish I lived closer so I could meet all of you.
What a great looking van! But now I am in total awe of Badseed! I couldn't make my van look that clean and we have no kids left at home. She is expecting number 6 and the interior looks wonderful!
