Hello, I was new to DG, and just when I started to get the hang of things WORK started and I went to what we locals calls "Landscapers limbo" . That is where everyone who makes a living in wealthy peoples gardens goes. You can't leave untill Nov. I'm out on parole...
Anyway. Since I last posted I did a lot of gardening and a lot of life went on. I'll post some time soon.
lot's of love to y'all, Mig
Hello long lost friends
WB Miggy. Lot's of newbies here...and Dave & Trish have their own NEWBIE! Jo
Glad you made it back Miggy! Enjoy the slower pace for a season and catch up with the forums.
Hi Miggy! It is so nice to see you again! Pull up a soda or coffee and a nice comfy chair. You have some reading to do!
Welcome back !
You were going to start your own business and had just received a loan to buy a pick-up. And the rest of the story is...........
Can't wait to hear. :o)
SL
Welcome back Miggy!
WB Miggy! Nice to "see" you.
WB Miggy!
Welcome back!!
Hey, Miggy! :-)
Has it really been a whole 24 days ! scary! I saw it getting cold and thought that I would have more time to myself-Ha Ha Ha! Well I'm thankful to be busy-I need the work.
The summer went OK, it was fairly damp and not very sunny on the whole, but I did get my business off the ground, which is great, even though I will probably just break even this year. Still, next year will be better, God willing.
I want to thank all of you who prayed for my DH and his Mom. She passed away only a few weeks later. (am I allowed to say that she made her peace with God before passing on? well, she did) We were all by her bedside and when it's my time I would like to have the same. Unfortunately the brother that didn't want the outside help has not spoken to my Hubby since her death. Also he has the family house in his name alone and there was no will. ? . hmmm...
My kids planted the seeds that wheezin sent us and had great fun with their garden. Last month my hubby came in and said "we should pick that water melon before we forget". OK. Next day he comes in with an unripe Pumpkin!! The girls looked at him and said "Daaad why did you pick a green pumpkin?". He thought that Nobody would find the difference between a watermelon and a pumpkin completely obvious! The girls harvested their watermelon themselves the next day. The pumkin turned orange anyway, but it was soon painted by the girls and now looks like a beach ball.
My Doggy died. I was pretty devastated, but at 17 I can't say it was tragic, just very sad. He was my best bud.
What was tragic was the little dog getting hit by a car. very upsetting. the Vets did all they could, but it was too much damage. Boo-hoo
After months and months I decided to get another dog and found just the one at a pound an hour away. He is a lovely 10 month old Dachshund. He needs a name guys...
And thats the news for now. I'll have to cruise aroud DG and catch up with everything...
I didn't realize that you had lost your dog, as well, Miggy. I'm so sorry. No matter how old they grow, it is not really possible to prepare for their absence (especially when their passing is associated with trauma). I am glad that you have a new canine friend.

Hi Miggy, from an August newbie. I can identify with the family troubles about wills...things were said and done that no one seems able to put behind them. Two years later and no one is speaking yet.
Hard to first lose someone you love and then lose the rest of the family as well. People you've known and loved all of your life suddenly show a dark side you never knew existed.
But you'll find it it tends to draw you closer to the ones that are still a part of your life, and new friends can soon become as close as family. I know you'll find lots of people like that here. Sure hope you can post some pics of that new puppy. I bet he's a real cutie!
Welcome home Miggy, you've been missed!!
"eyes"
Hi guys, Hey "eyes"!! Thanks Whiterose, My new puppy is a great consolation to me. Hi Zone 3 newbie, nice to meet you. I now what you mean, it's so crazy, I thought that sort of stuff was fromy cheesy soap operas only. Boy was I wrong! Hang in there!
No news here. Nice to hear from you all. See you around DG!
I named my doxie Low Ryder. just Ryder for short.Congrats on the new pup. my condolences for the reason why you got him. and Welcome back from a newbie
Low Ryder is an absolutly brilliant name! Funny and clever and easy to call. We ended up calling our fellow "Beans On Toast" Beans for short.
It's getting cold and windy here. I'm almost done with spraying all the Boxwoods and such with wilt proof, I'm not done with bulb planting and I am almost done clean ups. Then it's time to come inside and plan and dream.
I have a new client who wants to install an outdoor model train kit! isn't that crazy and kinda cool? I think i get to make little mountains and small lakes and that sort of thing. Zany huh?.
glad you found your way back! :)
