I love the Birthday lists! It is fun to think, wow, I know all those people, and have traded with most of them! It is a great opportunity to checkout the trade lists also of people who don't post, or the non-subscribed members. Good opportunity to drop a greeting to friends here we may not have contacted in a while.

My QUESTION: is this: I estimate there should be almost 190 people here sharing a birthday, on average. I guess many people do not enter their birthday when joining?

Yes, exactly. The vast majority of members do not ever give us their birthday information (nor do they tell us their state, country, etc). They have to take an extra effort to give us that information.

Also remember that many members join via the Plants Database and the Garden Watchdog, and on those sites they are never asked for their birthday.

Right, dave. It is so helpful to have the zones also, especially if someone is asking for plant advice, as that makes such a difference!

I for one that is guilty as charged for not filling out the birthdate.
You can ask me anything but that. Afterall, I gave up on birthdays many many years ago. You can ask me my weight, my height, shoe size or whatever, but never ask me when my birthday is.
