Native American and all other native Americans north and south.
I watched a program recently about genetics. The scientist has discovered that Mongolians, Tibetans, Chinese, Japanese, Eskimos and all Native Americans and Native South American all carry a distinctive gene. He reckons that the people of the far east (what do you call it?) actually travelled over 1000s of years towards Alaska, via a land bridge, and then down into America and into South America.
So how do I fall into this? My mother is a Belizean. One of her great, something, grandmothers was of Mayan decent.
I'm related to Mongolians, Tibetans, Orientals, Eskimos ...
We don't know much about our ancestors, but I just heard that in some way I'm related to Swedes. A part of the family from my mother's side comes from Southern Sweden, the province of Skåne (Scania). There's has been a gypsy woman in the family from my mother's side as well.
From my father's side (Nylund family) there has been Swedish speaking Finns (their ancestors have probably come from Sweden as well long time ago), at least.
I should do some more research :P
After over twenty years of genealogy research on all my lines, I think I am best described as a mutt. :-)
English, Irish, Scotts, German, French and also 1/8 Italian. And that's just the lineages that I can PROVE.
I'm pretty much Scott/Irish.A touch of Welsh and a smaller touch of French. We did have an Irish ancestor named Don Carlos Faith, but can't figure out how that came to be....we're betting it's an interesting story if we ever get it.
I am suppose to be Scotch/English/German/ Dutch/Italian. Then I married a man who was about 1/2 American Indian. That marriage produced 1 child, a daughter. She in turn married a man who was part Negro and has some American Indian in him also. She had 2 children with him. I've jokingly told them to just put 'other' down for race. If either of them would marry someone who is of Oriental descent they would have nearly all of the races in their children.
