Hi Dave and/or Terry: I tried to renew my subscription using Paypal but once I clicked on Paypal, all I got was the hourglass that never went away..Please let me know what the problem is. I have subscribed using Paypal before with no problems...

I tried it again at 7:25 P.M. EST and it worked. I had to go through about 8 pages to do it though. Can't this be simplified?

Doesn't DG accept credit cards? Why use PayPal? Is there an advantage?

If you don't use PayPal, then you can ignore it altogether. I offer the choice to pay by PayPal because some folks have it already and like to buy things with it.

But for everyone else, I have a credit card gateway. Something like 80% of the subscriptions on DG are purchased directly with credit card (no paypal).

Paypal is used a lot for on-line auctions but is also used by many companies for anything you can buy on the net. I started using it to buy and sell on eBay. Now eBay owns paypal. You see it popping up more and more on other on-line websites. I have enjoyed it and it works quickly and without error so far......

PayPal is free only for the buyer. The seller (me) pays the price (a percent of the sale).
