E/mail from DG'ers.

This might seem a bit far fetched, but I was wondering if there is a way to add something to the e/mail form when we send e/mail to each other?
Something like "_____ is a subscribed member" then putting in the rest of the usual info. Or "______ is not a subscribed member at this time"
Usually if I recieve a e/mail from someone here and I don't know the name or have never seen the name before I have to go looking thru the members list in order to see if they are a subscribed member or not.
I usually don't make a habit of trading with ones that are not paid members...I know there is nothing wrong with doing that but I'd just like to know up front if they are subscribed or not, then I can figure out if I wanna trade with them or not.

does not sound crazy to me. unfortunately there has been some problems with unsubscribers and many of us do not wish to trade with them because of this.

I thought of a couple of ways to do it, but there is nothing to prevent non subscribers to doing the same thing in their emails so you would still have to check. I am wondering if there is a way that it could be set up through the DG server that sends out messages. Thats the only way I can think of that would prevent non subscribers to adding the same information to their emails that we were using.
I have only been a member for a few weeks so I am not familiar with how everything works, but if Dave was agreeable I don't think it would be really difficult to set up through the server since the emails that we receive are all ready coming through that server.
I don't know if this will help or not its just my 2 cents worth.

This is the message that appears under the e/mails we recieve from anyone who e/mails us thru DG.
I don't really think that a non subscriber would think to write in the message that they are a member, because unless they have used DG e/mailing before and recieved e/mail thru here as well they are unaware of this message. Therefore they wouldn't know to add the statement.
Anyone who e/mails us thru other means of getting our address well it would be totally differnt.

That sounds like a REALLY handy feature, as I have spent alot of time looking traders up in the member list.

Didn't there use to be a link to the member's DG homepage in the emails? Well, you can easily check whether the sender is a subscribed member or not - just go to your dg homepage, take your name off the page address and paste/write the sender's DG name on it.

There is no link now in the email only the user name. The cutting an pasting, going to the member list. It all takes a good bit of time if you have a good bit of listings.

It's a good feature request and I have added it. From here out, the last line of the E-mail will say:

USERNAME is a subscriber of Dave's Garden

If the user is NOT a subscriber, that last line will be missing.

You can send yourself a test message to see how it looks.
