requesting 411 spiders

Does anyone know where I can find help identifying a spider?

I believe most county extension agencies in affiliation with your state university system have excellent website info. relating to gardening and agriculture. I know they do here in GA. Where did you find that scary-looking thing? I am terrified of spiders and I would have had a stroke if I had saw that!! GOOD LUCK AND STAY SAFE!

I might be mistaken, but your spider looks like some I've seen in our shed. A few years ago, I looked them up in a reference book (I don't remember which one), and identified them as crab spiders. The spider has a "pouch" which is carried above its rear legs like a pack; it contains the spider's young, and enlarges as they grow. Crab spiders are good friends to have in the garden.

I thought the same thing too...LOL somebody needs spiders??? Maybe they polinate something.... LOL just had to go look... :o)
