Visiting Lisa!

I'm using my free flight voucher to visit Lisa in October! Howie can't take time off work, so he'll use his voucher to visit his sister in Alabama some weekend. We've been married 11 years and I've never gone on a trip without my hubby - I'll miss my guy!

I'll be in Louisiana October 19-27 and would love to meet some of you good southern folks while there!

OH, u are coming down to LA again in October.. OH I better make the plan to meet you and Lisa.. Lisa.. HOpe we can make arrange to meet each other at half way either on Oct. 25 or 26th.. we will be in New Iberia, LA..

Hmmmm Buy one get one free tickets? If hubby can't go, take a friend (that likes to fly and just hates long drives? LOL)!!! Yeah, wishful thinking.

I'm going to a wedding with Lisa on October 25. But we'll have to talk about the 26th. :) The wedding's at Oak Alley Plantation and I can't WAIT to see beyond that outside fence.

Sounds like fun, GW. It's a shame that Howie can't go, but at least you'll have your computer along and can e-mail him regularly.

And how! I hope to see a *live* gator this time, and not just a skull or a tire half floating in the bayou, too. ;)

Carol7 called and said she will be spending some time here too! I told DH and he said he was leaving town, way to many women for him to be around...grin

Just remember, Kim, run serpentine if a gator starts chasing you.... I don't think they can change direction very fast! They run fast only when going straight! LOL :)

Ack! I'll try to remember that. It'll be like in dreams I have on occasion, where my feet feel heavy and it's as though I'm running in thick mud!

LOL :) I can never run fast in my dreams either ~ weird, isn't it? It's like my legs just won't go faster! I'm certain there's some interpretation of that somewhere ☺

Whoooooo, tomorrow's the day! We have to leave around 5:30am to get me to the airport in plenty of time for the 7:05am flight to Memphis, so I'm heading to bed soon. Yes, that's 5:30 in the MORNING - you know what nightowls we are, so this is a stretch!

So, why am I still posting? Help me, for I fear I'm addicted to this place! But, hey, if it hadn't been for DG, we'd never have met Lisa or most of you friends.

Like I said to friends this afternoon, "This time tomorrow, I'll be taking a nap in Louisiana!"

Hi Lisa, Hi Kim, you have fun!

Like I told our friends Saturday, by that time Sunday, I'd be taking a nap in Louisiana! The airport was REALLY busy in Columbus this morning because of the Ohio-Iowa game Saturday. Oodles of fans were heading back home and they were slow in accommodating the long lines. It was a close call, but I didn't miss my flight!

Everyone's in bed except me (what a shocker, eh?) and I'm catching up on the threads before heading upstairs myself. Us gals are are going camping for a couple of days on the coast. Boy, the women are just leaving their men everywhere, huh?

Dang,and I'm too late to sneak in the carry on!!!!

Root, I had a hard enough time hoisting that carry-on thing up into the overhead bin without you in there! ;) They had us all take off our shoes at Columbus, too, so you should have seen me walking quickly toward my destination gate (the LAST one in the terminal, of course), padding along in my stocking feet and carrying my sneakers. It finally dawned on me that I'd really better take time to put them back on because I could walk faster with 'em.

Sounds like you are enjoying the trip. I envy you being able to take this opportunity to travel and meet folks. But next best thing to it is patching you post abut it and "traveling" vicariously over the internet.

We're fortunate to have a wireless plan that has free calls between our cellphones. I can't get a signal in the house, but I can go to the corner of the front porch and call him.

Well shoe I have been doing some of that. I fixed my fire hot chili last night and watched The Good The Bad and The Ugly on TV. I also bought a western last week in preperation for this week. Kimberley's not much on westerns so I figure I'll get my fill of them this week.

Yay!!!!....forgot to mention the TV/movie part! You get to watch anything you want! (And uninterrupted!)
