I would be concerned about my cousins near Baltimore...ginlyn and sgtdot...does this mean they can call you and you will post that they are OK??

I'm not sure you want your phone number on the first-line of a thread. Anyone in the world can get that number. I'd at least post on a subsequent line.

Dea, I think they're saying that you can post it now, in a "reply." The very first post can be seen by anyone, but you have to be a member to see all the replies. This is a good thing you're doing. I'm just starting to get emails from folks saying "we may not be available for a while." Hope it peters out before it hits land, though that looks unlikely at this point. Best wishes and be safe,

The NOAA posting this morning at 5AM shows a slightly more westerly landfall and diminishing winds. Maybe it will turn out to be just a lot of rain and strong, rather than killer, winds for most people in the path. Nonetheless, keep us posted on how you fared through the storm.

I always feel preparedness is never wasted, and even though I am not in Isabel's path (so far!), it has reminded me to check my emergency stuff. Winter is coming, and could bring a bad storm, loss of electricity, etc.
