Oh, I love Scrabble and so does Howie! We have the CD version, which I think lets you play online with others who have the CD. I've never tried it.

You might also like Word Whomp, Bookworm, Word Riot and Tumble Bees at Pogo http://www.pogo.com/

Bookworm is great! I'll have to check out the others. I just feel like numbing the nogging tonight!

Bensenville, IL(Zone 5a)

heather_v, I tried to sign up for the scrabble and it says page can't be displayed. I tried on your hyperlink you were kind enough to provide. Where do you go to sign up? Denise

This is great! I was just thinking that there must be online scrabble SOMEWHERE! My oldest brother and I would go head-to-head and have all-night-long scrabble marathons. I still love the game and we incorporate it into our homeschooling....learning at its best!! Thank you Thank you!!!

tomden, you can click on the button at the top of the page that says "login". There is a link from there that you can use to register if you're a first time user.

Or you can click on any of the game links, and then pick a room/lobby to play in and it will give you a choice to login if you're registerd, register if you're new, or play as a guest without registering.

Hope this helps!

I just picked up Handmark's Scrabble for my PDA on eBay. Shoot, we have almost every version of Scrabble except the original cardboard game we started out with...Oh, and we sure don't have that fancy one with the gold-plated tiles!

We have the Deluxe version (over at mom's now), the zip-up travel portfolio version with the little dividers on the board, and a PC version...And now one for the wee hand-held computers.

I like to unwind with a good word game in bed at night, or play while I'm waiting in line when out, so this version for our handheld computers is great!

They have it for PocketPC and Palm OS, and it sells a lot cheaper than Handango wants for it at their site (same thing). http://search.ebay.com/search/search.dll?query=scrabble&catref=C3&socolumnlayout=3&from=R2&sacategory=56168&BasicSearch=

You can go to Yahoo Games and play a game called Literati. It is just like scrabble. You can play with one or several people and play with friends across the country.

I'm with Misty....Literati's the most fun on the internet! It is bookmarked on my home page right under Dave's.....LOL!

Hillsboro, OH(Zone 6a)

I signed up on Larkie's last night and played some today. What fun! I won 4 out of 5 games. Pity I have to go to work. LOL

Don't you love it, Badseed? Wordbiz has the largest and clearest of any Scrabble screen I've ever played..I try to play several games per week, sometimes all night long.

Oh, I really, really like it!! I won another game yesterday and have met some nice people. Of course I had one guy disappear on me and yesterday on the first game, somebody aborted in the early seconds. I hate that!! LOL It would be easy to play too much though. :)

I play scrabble by email, it's fun, you can do the games when you have time to, and you can play with your friends!

GW check your email!

I play at the following yahoo link (The game is called Literati, but it is Scrabble):

http://games.yahoo.com/

If you don't have a yahoo account, you'll have to register for one (it's free). There are some very good players in there, but I think there are some that are obviously cheating (there's cheating software all over the internet as well).

Spokane, WA(Zone 5b)

I tried to register to the playgames site, and it kept screwing up. Oh well, will have to just stick with yahoo literati. I wanted to check out other options. I can't use pogo on this machine - hubby has the security settings set too high because of the kids (doesn't seem to do much good though).

Jonesboro, AR(Zone 7a)

Karrie, which room do you go to most often when you play? I can never seem to get anyone nice to play with! They either cheat or boot you! Maybe we can play sometime?

Spokane, WA(Zone 5b)

Arkie,

I usually click on the "intermediate" button, and then pick whatever room has the most people in it that is available. My name in there is "karebear_dunno". What is yours? I have a rating of a little over 2k (I think). I wouldn't mind playing you, but we'd probably want to plan a time or something and meet in there at a certain place in order to find each other.
