LOL
Rothkirch, L'Amour and Cherie Amour
hate to disappoint you mingrannie but thank goodness the forecast has changed and they say it will miss us now and make landfall between NC and Virginia.
According to the local weather man just now all we should expect here is to be 30-40 mph winds. That I can deal with and I hope that he is right!
I'm really happy that you are not going to blow away and, besides, your brugs would probably have blown up the East coast anyway. LOL
congrats on the auction.

I guessed!
Thanks to all of you for the congrats.
I guess it's just pure luck that i've ended up with both plants. It's the first time i've ever gotten lucky at anything. That's why I quit playing that stupid power ball game. I couldn't win as much as a dollar. Maybe I need to go and buy a ticket.
Hibiscus,
What was your guess?
Please post a picture from your pure aurea and LÁMour.
Would like to see..
Me too...
Ludger guessed correctly also! Pure Aurea.
Congratulations on your new babies! I was watching the auction, too, but it got a little too rich for me (ok, I might have gone for it, but I didn't want to hear my DH blow a gasket if I paid that much for plants that he thinks I have too many of now!). I'm REALLY glad that it's going to someone who will obviously appreciate it. So many times, you see someone buy something that they don't know anything about, & you KNOW that it won't survive their 'care'.
Ludger,
The L'Amour is being sent to me tommorow so I actually do not have the plant in my possesion just yet but the person it is coming from told me today that the plant does have many little flower buds on it.
As for the other plant it has not Y'd yet so maybe a little later in the season i'll be able to get pics of both and post them.
How many pure aureas are in the U.S.? I really have no idea as i'm still trying to learn the types of all the brugs that I am growing.
I'm trying to get an updated inventory catagorized by type such as versicolor, insignis, suaveolens and so on but I can't find any info on a lot of them and am clueless as to where to look for any such info.
David, I am so happy about your L'Amour and I am thrilled that it has buds on it. I see that patience is not one of your virtues . . LOL
Since you are no longer a member of BGI and cannot access that site, the only other site that I know of that has some of the information your are looking for is as the following links and as far as I know, you don't have to be a member to view these pages.

A very handy chart made by Mr. Sanders:

I also have some gathered information and if you send me your list, I will try to help you identify what classification they are. Much of the information that I have was collected off the internet.
Brugnanny,
I'm a patient person for the most part but i'm ready to get both of these flowers blooming and start brushing on some pollen!
Great info Frannie. I should be reading it all right now so I can be as smart as you! My leader! LOL
Cat, you should have a great time pollinating your fancy brugs!!!
Also they list what each brug is.

Gloria, so NH still is not filling orders? How can they afford not to for so long?
Ok David . . it is not a lack of patience but I can see now that you have perserverance and ambition. I can't wait for you to start using that brush of yours on your fantastic brugs. I am so happy for you and you have done so well with the growing of your brugs and to think you just started this year.
Hibiscus thanks for the helpful additional information. I completely forgot about NH.
Kell, there is some good information and I especially like the chart. By the way, you are already smarter than me.
Right under my nose the entire time and I was too blind to see it. Imagine that!
I'm telling you if you all could meet me in person you'd see just how retarded I really am!(LOL)
Looks like after midnight thursday Isabel is going to hit the outerbanks of N.C. just above us around Cape Hatteras.
Guess what that means? HIGH winds for David. So looks like were not completely out of the woods after all. SIGH!
Hibiscus,
I went to NH to find info on the types. BTW thanks for the link. When they just say brug X what does that mean?
I think it just means multi hybrid, but not totally sure.
That's what I think, named brug crossed with something, don't know what. Maybe bee pollinated?
I was thinking that myself just wasn't 100% sure.
Great brugs you have......-)
Brug is Brug
talking is talking..............:-)
Call me an idiot if you want ,but boy that one went over my head.
I think I missed the meaning in that last one from Ludger!
Hi, id. Me too!
