I have about 18 years worth of notes, several reference books, and couple hundred issues of OG. I have been threating for sometime to find a database where I could collectively bring all of this together.
Well I found one that is for flower gardeners. However, I will have no problem using it for everything I grow. Got it on sale (strange the sale price offer is only on the opening page.) Nevertheless, this program at the moment looks great. Like a Botanical spell checker to thumbnail pictures, and so much more! Everything I could have hope to find for this project.
Check it out when you have nothing better to do! Take a look at its features.

Olds
BTW It will only run on:
XP Home
XP Pro
Windows 2000
Windows server 2003
NT
EDIT There will also be some additional software installed if you don't already have it. Below is a copy of this information from their site.
During setup of the software, additional components may be installed if they are not already on your computer.
Microsoft SQL Server Desktop Engine
During installation of the software, Microsoft’s SQL Server Desktop Engine version 8.0 will automatically be installed from The Compleat Botanica setup CD.
Microsoft Internet Explorer
For proper operation of the software, Microsoft Internet Explorer version 5.0 or greater must be installed on the computer (It does not need to be your default browser.)
Users of Windows 2000, and Windows XP can safely ignore this requirement because those operating systems are pre-configured with Internet Explorer. Only Windows NT version 3.51 users need to check this.

Lookie what I just ordered
What do you think of this software now that you've had it awhile? I just stumbled on their website by accident today and came over to DG to see if anyone had posted anything about it. I'm contemplating a purchase.
Brenda
Olds hasn't been on DG for quite a while and might not see this, Brenda. You might want to e-mail him.
Kimberley- I saw he started a thread on 5/28/2004....hmmmmm?? I'll email him just to be sure. Thx!
Really? I'd not seen him around in ages! Well, good - glad he's back. :)
I just saw the thread -- He started that thread in 2003, but someone recently added to it this May.
Right you are, GW!! Duh! I even knew that column was for last post!! Guess I was seeing what I wanted to see. LOL
