I'll be havin them here for the weekend! My sister has never seen our place other than in photos!
I'll be postin a pic or two in this thread as the weekend progresses. Looks like it's gonna be perfect golfin weather too!
Golddog; have any quick tips fer me? ;~)
Brother and Sis up from Kentucky!
Yea, push the clubhead back with the left hand. Don't break the wrists 'til parallel with the ground. Pull the clubhead through with the left hand. Keep evenly balanced. Put a hole in one of your pockets; just in case you lose a ball. Don't forget to 'drop' the ball on the green. You know the routine, "Hey guys. Look over there." "What did you have TC? Five?" "No I had a four." The use of feet when looking for the ball in the rough is OK. Just give it a kick. In the fairway of course. If the opponent is lost; step on their ball to bury it in the mud. Have fun. Great weather! What course are you playing?
And hello to Bro and Sis!
Aren't you fortunate to have such nice people in your family? Enjoy the weekend! Will the golf scores be posted as well?
(I tried golf once, but they said I played "Military Golf"...From the point of tee-ing off, from there on out that ball kept going LEFT! RIGHT! LEFT! RIGHT!) :>(
I played a lot when you could finish a round in 3 1/2 to 4 hours. Now it takes a lot longer, especially on weekends.
Ol' Shoe, you'd fit right in with my kinda playin! Brother Chuck gave me a few pointers today. And as y'all can see in these two fotos, I just sat and watched his perfect form!!
Dog; we teed off around 2:30p.m. and finished 18 around 7:00p.m., we kinda took our time!

HAH!...Love the golf cart pic! What a statement!
I love the golf cart picture also! Very healthy golfing there! LOL
I have to tell you about a friend's golf game from this past month. You will have to forgive me for the golf talk though as I don't know squat about golf except taking care of the grass like I did when I was a teenager. Well, he was at the longest hole on the course and he decided to use his 8 woody for the first time on that area. He is a new golfer this year and he hit the ball, watched it skip three times, like a flat stone over the water. It then rolled UP the hill and disappeared. When he and his friends went to the other side they looked all over for it and then they looked in the cup. It was there with his name on it!!! A HOLE IN ONE!!!! With witnesses to boot of this weird stroke of luck. He is so excited about this game now that he is really hard to be around LOL
Now if I can only get him off the course long enough to rewire our kitchen for us before winter. He is an electrician and told us he would do that for us so we don't blow the breaker every time the heater kicks on.
Pond, that is quite a story. My DH would have died to have seen that.
TC, where is the top to the golf cart. Around here, there is always a top. You sure you were playing golf and not just driving your brother around all day? So what did you shoot today?
Donna
SoCal, this is the kink of carts we have around here, for the most part. Not too swift for the beating sun and pouring down rain though. They are gas powered to climb the hills and even mountains around here. They do well in the sand traps and lakes as well.:)
TC, nice coverage of the golf and weekend you spent with your family. Thanks for sharing!
TAlk about "laid back golfin"...that is my kind of golfin!!! Jo
TC, I imagine you guests will be happy to get back to normal in Kentucky once again. How could they put up with our slurring together of our words into one big unrecognizable stretch of the vocabulary. They probably have tops on their golf carts too.
"Boy, those people in W. Pa. sure do talk funny. And their golf carts? You wouldn't believe the noise they make. All they talk about is those Stillers, what ever they may be."
Oh my, all of y'all are jus so nice!
I'll let my bro Chuck say a word or three...
someone help me i'm being held hostage in PA !!! he won't let me go home until he beats me at golf. maybe i'll let him win one so i can get back to the bluegrass of home. PA is really nice but KY is where my heart is right now. with my great wife and two great kids. i am starting to miss them. having a great vacation with big bro and family.

This is TC's big sis, who in truth is the youngest of the two. The only reason they call me the big sis is because of my allergies; lately everything i've ate has been breaking me out in fat.
I'm the one in the family who married at fifteen, had four children, and their dad was not a relative. I also wear shoes sometime! I do have this yearning to be famous like being invited to be a guest on the Jerry Springer show, but instead we act it out in our home.
We actually still have a couple of wheels left on our home, so I don't see an invitation anytime soon.
I love being here and in all actuality have a college degree, its so fun talking to northern people, but they do have a hard time believing anyone from the south can be just as educated and opinionated...and still be fun!
I think I'm in love....! ;>)
Sis...you best be joining DG when you gets back home! I'll hold your hand, if'n your scairt. (But I'm a little shy, so go easy on me, eh?)
τΏτ
Shoe you are such a wild man! LOL
TC.....you MUST bring them to round up....since it is in their beautiful home state of KY....and Sis...I too am "allergic" to food....as you say...I break out in fat anytime I get near it. Love your sense of humor.....come on...see ya at Prizer Point!! Jo
Jo and all here; Thank y'all so much for the warm and humorous comments made to my brother and sister! They now know what a special place I've found here at DG!
They got off to an early start back to KY this mornin.
I told them both about the KYRU and they said they'd check their schedules.
Sister Sue just loved our place and couldn't get over how our house smells like one huge herb barn! DW gave Sue many lessons on how Sue can start her own herb garden and cut and dry the herbs and hang them all over the house like they are here!
Brother Chuck gave me plenty of pointers on cuttin a few strokes off my golf game! Now, if only I'd have the time to practice what he preached!
Again folks, thanks to all of y'all for makin their visit with me all the more enjoyable!!
TC...
TC nice to see your pictures, 2 really pretty ladies, guess I shouldn't say that about your brother!! Sounds like you had a great time. My computer hasn't been working the greatest the past 2 weeks, and I have been busy Fairing'. Donna
