In the white section click on LISTEN where it reads "if you missed the programme then LISTEN to it here on demand"
I wasnt happy with the interview at the time and it's now been edited down a lot further and is now mainly about cutting them back.
In two weeks I'm on about Pelargoniums and possibly a few weeks later talking about alternatative annuals.
radio interview about hardy Geraniums now online
Wow :)
Lupine did you listen?
Mark, I thought you did very well, you were very relaxed, concise and clear As you say it is a pity they focused more on cutting back rather than on the real virtues of hardy Geraniums. Well Done :))
Kudos Mark! Very interestin' (love the accent - it's so different from here in the U.S. :)
thanks Terry and Annette
They were here for about 1.5 hours and we talked extensively about Pelargoniums and hardy Geraniums.
So my accent sounds a wee bit different from an American one?! I have been asked a few times what part of the States I'm from but obviously I dont here myself as others here me
There is no way I would place you from the states Mark !! ;) but I guess I have heard alot of irish accents in my time :))
way to go
Mark, that was great! I learned something now, that tomorrow I must go out and cut down all these geraniums, but I don't know which one is Rozanne! Can I cut ALL of them down? I've got maybe 20 or so, but I'm not good at keeping track of their names.
At this time of year I say cut them all back. New leaves will be back in days.
Rozanne - if you bought it - has huge 2.25 inch blooms dark blue and a white eye. Similar to Buxtons but bigger
Mark, I did listen, but the accents had me bumfuzzled for a few days ;D
After I heard you three times (I think) without any background noise, I was able to get the words. Pretty lousy speaker system, I think.
Your accent is totally different from the (very) few Irish accents I have heard before. I have heard dear Margaret's hint of a lilt, a few wranglers in Arizona, and that is it.
I am looking forward to hearing your next one! I will clean my ears out before that one. Amazing how gardeners get dirty everywhere!
Will you be speaking about bats?
I'll be on speaking about bats on Saturday 12th. I need to find the link.
http://www.bbc.co.uk/northernireland/gardenerscorner/summary/summary300803.shtml the link has now changed to this one.
Mark, the text was confusing. Did you do the show down in Dublin?
No, these are the 3 topics of the program
Mark, That was a very interesting discussion! I've tried a couple different hardys but have only had limited success with sanguineum. Too much hot sun/hi humidity? You've inspired me to try Johns.. Blue again and look for Rozanne.
Great to hear you liked it.
