The Wreck.

So.

After months and months of not seeing each other,(pat moved to tennessee) when they once spent everyday together, my mum and her friend Pat go to town.
They are wheeling all over the place, hitting the thrift shops, laughing and talkin` `bout old times.
You can almost see as Mum raises her hand in silent signal to Pat, there it is...a Tommy Hilfiger shirt, just the size for her daughter (me).
In a blast Pat is off, pushing through the outdated velvet and wrinkled faux silk shirts.
" Out of my way granny!" Pat screams as she wheels around the fifty cent shoes rack.
She lunges, and grabs the shirt. " VICTORIOUS!".
After paying at the register Pat and mum leave the store chittering happily like larks.
Getting in the car Pat and her sisters had just bought for their mother, they are still talking and laughing.
They pull out of the parking lot and onto the road.
Alls well as they brake for a redlight. "by now probably talking about what life would have been without kids".
Then, "SCREAAAACH!"

Pat whips the wheel just in time to avoid a full sideswipe collision.
Ahh but not whipped enough. The big guy in the other car smacks them at the tip of Grams new car.

"CRUNCHH!"

He backs up and takes off! Leaving MY mother and my adopted Mother behind in the rubble!
The cops come, the questions follow, all the while my mum is plotting her sweet revenge.
They cant find the guy, they had no tag....."blah blah freaking blah blah"
Still fuming , mum stands in barely contained anger, while pat makes the dreaded phone call home. "Mom, the car, we couldnt avoid....."
The voice drones off into the distance as mum sees something at the nearby redlight.

In her Fybro muddled brain some how through all the held anger mum realises, IT's THE CAR!

"THAT CAR HAS MY MOM'S PAINT ON IT!" Pat screaches. "Quick get the tag number!"
Mum quickly jots the number down and tells the cops.
Unfortunately for Mum and Pat the car had stolen tags.
We may never "catch" the guy that hit them today.
Unfortunately for the guy, mums` daughter has put an ungodly hex on him.
Now as he gets home and sits down tonight, "no doubt with a joint", he will start feeling a little off.
The later as the lights go off and all is quiet, a not so manly scream will render the night in two.


" OH MY G*D I HAVE GOUT!!!"

( Thank GOD my mum and Pat are okay.I really do hope they catch that jerk that sideswiped them.)

Jocelyn!!!! When did this happen? before or after you called yesterday? So glad that your Mom and Pat are okay. I'll call later,but if you're on the 'puter I plan to pick ya up tomorrow about 9:45...the dogs are looking foreward to seeing their "Auntie".

It happened yesterday.It was before you called.Man gins, I was so in shock about it i didnt even think to say anything on the phone.~ill be ready ta go when you get here~.;)

Sounded pretty real to me.

The writing style threw me. Like Flowox, I thought it was a story.

No story.That jerk really hit them and took off.

That is just awful! I don't see how people like that sleep at night knowing they have done such a thing!
The guilt would simple eat me up inside, and I'd have to turn myself in! In fact I think I would have been so scared I would probably still be sitting there!
Most times when folks do such a thing they are usually running from the law or not even suppose to be behind the wheel anyway!

Thats what we think Molly.Oh well.....god knows what he did, "grin".......i'd rather deal with an irate cop than a peed off god anyway,LOL.
