"Grass Photograph"

Have you ever heard of a "grass photograph"? If you travel through
Chicago in the next month, you'll have the chance to see one if you stop by the Chicago Cultural Center. A couple of British artists discovered that chlorophyll reacts in much the same way that photographic film does. By projecting an image of Piero di Cosimo's "Satyr Mourning Over a Nymph" over sod kept in a dark room, the artists were able to create a living replica of the painting in shades of green and yellow.

that's really "far out" donna. One of the things I miss when living up here in the boonies is the cultural centers. However, I must say, Brevard has more cultural events than any other town this size I have seen. I got to see Harry Belafonte at the Porter Center on Brevard College Campus a couple years ago....

That is AMAZING -- How would someone even think of doing that?

Lenexa, KS(Zone 5b)

My thoughts exactly gardenwife. That must really be something to see in person.

Thabnks, Mark. Now I wonder, who cuts the grass, and what happens to the "painting' then, LOL?

Like most science stuff, this was probably discovered on the way to something else.
